Absolutely jaw-dropping. I have next to no money at the moment, but I'd seriously consider trying to put some away for one of these lads.

After reading most of the TFW thread, I see you're planning on casting in resin, but what's this original cut from? Before I saw it was machined, I could've sworn it looked like ceramic or something...

He didn't. Follow the link to the TFW discussion thread. It was designed on computer in Maya, then machined.

That bad boy is impressive as hell. I'm not sure if I can afford the cost, but I'm gonna definitely look at my budget for it.

wow.... definitely considering

And random question, why didn't we get the WIP pics over here? We are the only Kitbashing exclusively based TF board.

And did I here someone say $200? (no complaint, just trying to get it straight)

Wishing is the first step to everything... ;) I practically wished every nite that I can afford to even own the cheapest 3D printer when I first saw those but they just are too unaffordable and not practical unless you're doing inhouse prototyping for some big firm. And prototyping machines are getting more affordable and better as times goes by. Your MP Dinobots already kick ass and the design skills to build by hand is a big plus when you start learning how to use programs and machines as mediums to materialize your ideas and concepts coz we're all running on a low budget unlike big toy companies.

Hmm no real reason behind why not here. I was quite an old member there at the 2005 boards before TFmaster started these forums and I seldom post my customs myself expect that Grimlock kitbash outta Armada Predacon. I can only afford to have enough time to post on one forum and I started casually there without any intention to make the WIP that frequently updated. But the response got me feel that I'm obliged to show more than I originally intended to. I'm a lazy fella when it comes to these things, like my gallery will usually just have 3-4 pics only.

And ya. The colored kits are $200 not including shipping and the optional decorative trailer that I'll be making. Just in case you guys missed that part, I'll limited the quantity of the kits to 50 normal colored, 10 black versions (just nice for 2 sets of molds) and a new mold for 10 battle damaged versions. The quantities may change depend on the response for the initial orders. I do not wish to do second runs coz I would want to move on to new designs and I want to show my appreciation to the folks who would support me right from the very start by not producing too many. I may have a slightly higher price for the "variants" though coz they will take a bit of extra work especially the battle damaged version.

It is a beautiful work of art this custom, and I'd definitely want one, but I'll have to settle for looking at the pictures some more I guess.

 Holy crap that looks fantastic griffith!

Outta curiosity, how do the half pieces, such as the forearms, fit together? Did you machine in pegs similar to a "snap together" model kit or will they be glued together? I see a couple screws but it looks like most peices interlock in some way.

AceBaur Prime wrote:Thats amazing! Wheres Lobo? He need to get one so his HOS Megatron can do battle with prime

Right here in the back of the class! :D

I plan on making my own HOS Prime after I do Shockwave first. :) Also, Griffth's is actually just a bit out of scale to my Megs by about an inch taller in height. Prime would be looking down at Megs and we can't have that can we?

When I'm ready, I want to get some dimmensions from Prime and scale down accordingly because IMO the proportions are perfect.

And of course, if griffith wants to, I'd be happy to return the favor when he makes Megatron. :D

Yo dude!

The parts are supposed to fit perfectly with pegs but I didn't give tolerance to them so I had to cut them down manually, thus they ain't perfect anymore. Glue is still required to hold the parts together properly but now I'm considering using screws because having the parts glued together permanently will prevent the tightening of joints if there is a need to in the future. So far the only screws I've used are on the leg flaps at the rear.

Will keep a lookout for your Shockwave, but I doubt anyone can miss anything you're coming up with :D I already have archived your Megs WIP so I already have dimensions to yours  Just lemme know when you need mine :D

AAaah. CRAP...You guys are gonna make my Bumblebee look like POOP! Dude seriously though...That is AWSOME! Put me down for a Prime! I'll need him to go with Bumblebee. I'm still workin on the legs by the way. I'll get more done when the School year is over. My students are driving me CRAZY!! I will deffinately need some time to work on this project.

Once we get all these HOS figs done we need to get em all together for a group pic or somethin. Some how.
