what if:

grimlock and the other "dinobots" receive optimus's transmission, and proceed to earth. they crash land in an amusement/theme park with a animatronic dinosaur exhibit (jurassic park?). after surveying their surroundings, they think that giant dinosaurs are the native species or whatever, and scan them as alts!

sounds pretty good actually.......

or just a dinosure park thing

Or or or they came to earth millons of years ago when dinosures lived and now they came back still beleving that dinosures are alive.

What's a great idea! I think that would explain the robotic, non-organic alt forms they will take.

I thought it would be cool if the dinobots and consucticons
both land at a dinosaur excavation site.The dinobots can the dug up bone and the consucticons take to near by excavation vehicles.Then immediate battle scene.

That's good too... unfortunately now that it's out here on the forums they are not likely to use it. No more surprise, plus legal concerns: they're afraid Astrotrain87 will have grounds to sue for intellectual property.

Awesome idea on the theme park

Wasn't Grimlock seen on a sector 7 video, with a mechanical appearance? For that matter, what would fans prefer to see the Dinobots as, mechanical or organic looking?

My idea; millions of years ago, a group of autobots(Dinobots) are being chased by a group of decepticons(Constructicons)in space. The autobots land on earth and scan dinosaurs as alt. modes. When the decepticons are landing, one of the autobots shoots a decepticon. The decepticon falls and sends out a beam, stunning the transfomers and killing the dinosaurs.
A million years later, in the present,at a construction site, a few construction workers hit the transformers, awaking them. The constructicons scan construction vehicles, and the dinobots stick with their dino forms. Then the constructicons combine, and the dinobots and constructicons have a climatic battle, kinda like bumblebee's and barricade's battle only without humans stealing the spotlight.
So what do you think?

Cool idea in theory...but you dont see "construction vehicles" on a dinosaur dig. You see dirty college kids and professors with some brushes and MAYBE a pick axe.

I think the dinobots would be better served as bing "found;" ie, they cme to earth eons ago to escape, find new energy, whatever...being TRUELY MECHANICAL they are limited on how they "mimick" the dinosaur, hence their more robotic like appearence. They get found much like Megatron was, BUT they are unware of everything thats gone on since they were MIA, SOOoooo they are just as dangerous for the Autobots for awhile. While Autobots are trying to get the Dinos under control the Decepticons go about "some plan" undetected

Actually, I think it would be cool for them to be outwardly organic, but after transforming, you see the innards as being completely metallic. It wouldn't be classic G1 though, which would probably PO a lot of fans.

I am a dinosaur/ G1 dinobot fan; unfortunately my limited creativity cannot imagine how they would be zoids-like dinos without looking ridiculous and B-grade movie like.

I don't know. Dinobots might screw it up. I don't see the point. I would not mind seeing Grimlock as a badass muscle car... I just don't see the logic of dinosaur-robots on earth when the point is to be in "disguise". Mabey since the Autobots are "accepted" by the humans on earth as defenders...mabey they could work in the Dinobots that way. I personally do not see the Dinobots in the TF2 future. mabey grimlock and i am pretty sure soundwave will make the cut.

nothing against you i'm just saying people need to make up thier minds... i'm all for your idea 100% but i'd also like to see grimlock as "the tumbler" (the vehicle they used for the new batmobile)

i had no idea that was a real vehicle! i thought that was just for the movie that would be sick, especially since it is sort similar to the dino-alt and is HUGE.
