Aargh! I be needing to know what happened to Shockwave during the original TF movie. Is anyone here able to be telling me whther he survived and never showed up again, or whether he was killed Aargh! I need to be knowing for a comic project I be working on Aargh! Thanks maties.

It is, his death was just cut out of the movie! THAt's what I read here on seibertron!

The coneheads also died in the movie, by being bitten by Unicron!
But stangly they are back in seasen 3!

There's a pre-animation storyboard (sorry, haven't got time to fetch the link right now) that shows his command tower getting crushed by Unicron's hand right after he gives the "Decepticons, scramble!" order. (It's probably Unicron's first attack on Cybertron - when he transforms to robot mode next to the planet and grabs a big chunk of it.)

Shockwave had a 1984 toy, so he was quickly removed from series to make room for the newer toys.

So, you could consider him to be dead I guess :-?

He's dead. Being an '85 toy, he was destinde to be killed off unless he was really popular. Unlike Soundwave :grin:

But yeah, I think he was killed when Unicron smashed his hand into Cybertron or started standing on the planet.

If he's "Dead" going by something that was never in themovie, he's alive going by rumours about Season 4.

Well it seems he was written to die in the movie script, but it was never storyboarded. (If it was Wombatking does not have it, and I can not find it anywhere else.)

However, it seems the IDW comic adaptation of the original movie does feature his death.
