Wii Problem: Cannot connect to internet

OK, for the longest time my Wii has had difficulty connecting to the internet. It's basicly been a game of chance. I could try to connect and fail at first, then immediately retry and success. But when I go to add points, it gives me the same error over and over! All this morning I've gone through every relative step-by-step walkthrough and every tip Nintendo has to offer on their site, and now it can't connect at all. :-x Thank you Nintendo. Thank you for not letting me just connect wired. Thank you for not having any kind of automatic, on-console troubleshooter. Thank you for make the most obsured, confusing, and ultimately fustrating online service of an gaming system. :BOOM:

So basicly, what I want to know is if I go out now and buy a Nintendo's WiFi Adapter, will it work without fail? Or should I just smash the **** thing now? :HEADHURTS:

That's weird. I use wireless internet and my Wii works fine. I'd suggest getting the WiFi adapter.

welcome to the club. I've only been connected a handful of times. I've got the weather and news channels to work once and the Wii Shop Channel twice. At least I have Zelda A link ot the Past and MK 64. I have another points card I'm would love to use, but the f'n thing barely connects. Mind you I'm two floors away from the router, but my laptop has no problems what so ever connecting. Here's what I do and it works most of the time.

1. Buy the Nintendo Wifi rounter. It helps alot.

2. Go into settings and select the internet option.

3. Do a system check. If it works click agree to terms. You can prolly skip right to agreeing to the terms to be honest. Once that happens your inlike flint. Then it's off and on from there.

I would say the Nintendo WiFi Router is a good bet, but if your's is RIGHT BESIDE your normal router then I woudl call Nintendo and ask for a touch of help. The nintendo it self may be the problem.

I always go big and get the extended 3 year job. That way, three years from the day I bought it, less one day of course I'll take it back and return it for a new one that will prolly have some extra awsome stuff with it. Or it will come with Mario Party 14 or something like that.

I know it's kind of a dick thing to do, but really, it's what I paid the extra coin for in the first place. I keep all of my stuff immaculate but I also have little cousins, two neices and a nephew you love two things in life. A, getting filthy and B, touching anything they can that may be ruined by children filth. I'm just forshadowing the enevitable breakdown of my Wii.
