3. I know he was given a katana in the comics, but the PotP design team realized that a kanabo made a much better melee weapon for him.

After all, he's called Bludgeon, not Slash or Slice or whatever :P

Turning Megatron's "spear" into a sword would actually be pretty easy, all they would have to do is retool it so the blade/articulated 5mm peg can be detached from the tank barrel. There's even a molded line along where the retooling would need to be done. Plus, he would even be able to use the tank barrel as a naginata.

What about ER Megatron into Quake, since we're still in the Targetmaster redo era?

That's more adding a sword to it than turning it into a sword.

It kinda works, but I'd prefer Quake get his own mold if possible.

Needlenose is probably on the docket to be made eventually, since he was on the poll at all and got some votes.

The only Double Targetmasters we've had no sign of in Generations are Quickmix and Landfill.

I’d like one more Autobot combiner limb to finish out the Inferno combiner. Alpha Bravo looks surprisingly good in the role, but one more “official” member would be nice. I suppose Red Swoop might be considered the fourth member, but I don’t consider him to be a separate individual from blue Swoop.

I agree that we need one more autobot to complete the Inferno Combiner. Sideswipe was the only 1984 autobot not to get a CW limb, so that is what I'd like to see, or any other 1985 autobot car would work as well
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I want Sideswipe and Windcharger, to complete the homage to "Masquerade".

However, while I want that homage complete... I'm cool with not everybody having a full dedicated limb set; I'm alright with the neo-torso characters (aside from Grimlock and Elita, who conveniently had dedicated teams already) having to share.

On a related note, I'd like to see Demolishor from CW Onslaught. The tooling exists for it, after all. No limbs necessary, although I can think of some possibilities (like Ransack from Afterburner, Cyclonus from Alpha Bravo..).

I’d personally prefer someone a bit more esoteric in the vein of Ricochet. Like Detritus from CW Hound. Would go well with Wreck-Gar.

I'd like to see how they'd fit that in, as Hasbro's side is seemingly focused on current lines. TakaraTomy's side is more "just because" as evident with the Seacons and Star Convoy, tho they are retooled from somewhat current PotP figures (yes, even Tentakil).

Didn't stop us from getting Spinister in the same line and from the same poll that got us Siege Mirage and Impactor, followed by Wheeljack in Earthrise. Since Spinister was probably intended to be in Earthrise maybe their spreading things out and we'll see Needlenose and Tracks in part 3.

Considering that Hardtop was the first Scout class figure I ever got and thus holds a special place in my heart to this day, I would consider it to be precisely my sort of esoteric cup of tea.

Honestly, if we're finishing teams, I'd love for Starscream to be complete. Currently I have him using G2 Aerialbots as feet with Dreadwind and Darkwing as arms, but I'd love for them to do a random Decepticon jet, and maybe Airachnid as a limb to have him be the anti-CW Superion

Isn't he unaligned? The original figure came with stickers for both Autobots and Decepticons and he's usually a "mercenary".

His United EX toy, Roadmaster, is definitely a Decepticon, though.

Definitely? Both his TFwiki entry and the one for the comic describe him as a hired mercenary. I read them before I made the post above.

Hired by the Decepticons to join the forces of their new Master Chaos sub-group,

Roadmaster, a Junkion mercenary who has been hired by the Decepticons.

Still sounds like a mercenary to me.

Most mercenaries are marketed as Decepticons, or rather as "non-good guys" like Unicron. ;)

Sure, even the original Detritus came in a Decepticon box, but we should all know better when the bio(s) say otherwise.

As definite as the word "Decepticon" on his box and the tampographed :CON: symbols on his toy indicate:

He has Decepticon symbols because he's contracted to work with the Decepticons. Like I just said, we should all know better than to go by whatever marketing logos are plastered on a toy and trust in the related bios and stories. Or are you content with Unicron being a Decepticon? Someone aligning with a faction doesn't make them a full time member of that faction. Detritus being a member of an Autobot combiner is A-OK for a mercenary like him to do.

@Emerge To be fair, the Cybertron Deluxe and Universe Armada reissue Unicron toys were only packaged as Decepticons, not actually wearing Decepticon sigils.

I said he was Decepticon-aligned, not a Decepticon himself. At the time of the original toy he had no set alignment, but as of United he was contracted with the 'Cons til further notice. Granted, he could switch again, but there's the question of whether the Autobots would want him.

Also, he specifically has ambitions of overthrowing Wreck-Gar, so I reiterate that I don't think that he'd work well alongside him in a combiner.

Well, his IDW self might since in IDW he's nothing but Wreck-Gar's valet, but...
