This definitely caught me off guard - but damn that figure looks extremely nice. Gives me pretty good hopes for the rest of the designs and their respective toys.

That's a terrific design. Let's hope the big screen version lives up to the hype.

As a life-long Beast Wars fan and a supporter of the live-action movies, I should be more hyped to see this Airazor than I actually am. It looks fine, it's not a bad figure, the falcon mode looks a lot better than Kingdom Airazor at least, but it hasn't got me any more excited for Rise of the Beasts or its toyline. It just looks a bit mid to me, but I am glad that more Maximal designs from the movie are finally getting out there.

Hot damn, that looks great. Good combination of movie asthetic with the original design. can't wait to get a look at the rest of the characters.
And makes me even more hopeful for the film.

Airazor looks amazing, I think all of the beast wars show designs are iconic and I can't wait to see more

I like that mold a lot. It may not be realistic in hawk mode, but it can do things that this one can't like fold the wings. The new figure has a much more realistic proportioned hawk body, but the wings are too thick (acceptable for a Cybertronian bird) and it can only move slightly at the wing "shoulders" and legs. Great looking figure, probably wouldn't be as nice on a realistic Beast Wars Airrazor like the Kingdom figure.
That said, this feels like a blueprint for a future MP Airrazor if one were in the works.
Shame there's no shot from behind, the rear portion of the wings are part of the torso, not the legs and articulated to be deployed in bot mode.

There you go:

The huge © "billboards" on that "cape" are pretty unsightly though.

It's ironic you say that because I didn't even notice them in the first place!

I can still easily overlook 'em anyway.

Still a shame, since the underside of the feathers clearly weren't sculpted with that later addition in mind. It's like they made the sculpt SO good there wasn't any place left to plonk that info. Irony indeed.SpaceEagle wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:SpaceEagle wrote:Comes off as a feathery cape to be honest, I don't think it looks bad.

A knock off ignoring said copyright info might be able to fix that...in a year or two.
Or maybe Reprolabls can work some magic.
Regardless, this toy does have me genuinely excited for the beast designs in this movie.

I too thought the Kingdom Airazor toy was perfectly fine (NOT the Terrorsaur remold though) and I have it now in the 4 different iterations. BUT this transformation would have been much better for it. It would have given us a far more toon accurate airazor sine it mass shifts her hawk wings by most of it disappearing into her legs.

What's wrong with Terrorsaur?
I think all 3 uses of the mold have been pretty good.
I own Skkywarp and CGI Terrorsaur and like them a lot.

My only true complaint would be about his arm spikes. Those are SEPARATE accessories that can be too easily lost or missed out entirely right out of the box.

mine would be the loose pop off wings or the dino head not being able to fold in the chest, still a nice figure though and i just pop the head off and hopefully dont lose it.

The loose wings popping off is something I really wish they had fixed for the Buzzworthy Bumblebee version, but alas, they did not. And I fear that they will be just as loose, if not moreso, on the rumored upcoming Fractyl version.blackeyedprime wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:My only true complaint would be about his arm spikes. Dang, that Airazor looks really sharp. I wish she was just a little more steampunk and maybe a bit more greeble on the face (just looks too smooth for a movie figure), but she looks good.
She is a good start to the movie beast designs. I cannot wait to put them next to other figure figures. I am quite happy with that idea in my mind.
Now, speaking of other movie figures. I know it's a throwaway alt mode, but the idea of a Prime transforming into a Cybertronian Destroyer, let along this design of Destroyer, is cool to me and I am one of those that like this alt mode. It is fun for me

Just got my Fallen yesterday and he is a big boi!
Took a while to figure out how to get his face on, but I liked how they implemented his arm struts, the ball joint on the forearms actually pivot for additional clearance, it definitely feels like it was thought out.

Finally got my hands on Galvatron, and damn, it is honestly a really good figure. Transformation is pretty complicated but not bad, and despite the rear being a bit messy he still somehow manages to create a solid truck mode. Something was pretty funny seeing this guy on the shelf next to SS86 Arcee, seeing as how Galvatron just exploded into Transformium to change forms yet this toy cleans up a lot better than her
In all seriousness I am very happy to have picked him up and I may display him next to my Kingdom Galvatron.
