I think that is the Japanese head. If you look closely on the back of the box pic, the crest on his forehead is the hotrod version.

I think he's right. Try looking at the box pic at full size and compare it with one of Mirage (which, handily, the poster has as his avatar!), and it's definitely not the same.

Well, if you look closely at the boxed vehicle mode pic, there's something in front of the car that I think could be mistaken for a fishing rod... I may be wrong.

Apparently we are. Which is awesome because now we won't have to pay around $85 for the Kiss Players one, plus this one doesn't include any child pr0n, and possibly doesn't include a fishing pole either.

Now, Takara needs to make Masterpiece Rodimus Prime, so this one can be Hot Rod and the MP can be Rodimus.

i love it.. but what i think is wierd. is that "supposedly" ravage and rumble were the last alts we were sposta see for a LONG time

If they just oversized the Classics Hotrod and added a third pipe to either side I'd be happy calling him Masterpiece Hotrod. As for Rodimus Prime, I'm pleased with the Titanium one. Really, not much more hotrod I can wish for.

looking at those pics more, I really don't think he has the fishing rod.

Plus, I can't see him coming with it and the box not having text telling you what the hell its supposed to be. I know when I saw the first pics of it I was like, WTF is that
