In the episode where the constructicons were made, starscream steals some dna material from the decepticons' base. Megatron finds out and immediately blames Optimus Prime for stealing the decepticons genetric material and demands it back. He blames the autobots and Prime before even thinking o blaming Starscream for stealing it. Why was that? Have the autobots stole decepticon genetric material before? Or had Optimus Prime? Was it a joke? Maybe?

That sounds like the creation of the Combaticons, not the Constructicons. Starscream stole personality components (the G1 equivilant of Sparks) as tf's dont have DNA. At least they didn't before Primal went all hippy on us. :roll:

I think Megs blamed Prime instead of SS because he simply thought of him as irrelivant. He was banished to an unnamed island. What would he want with Personality components. Or he forgot completely about him. Or he just wanted an excuse to see his old friend.

I don't think there's a better explanation than going to see the 'ol buddy again.

Megs always ignored Starcream's treachery--well, basically, he kept letting it go with little punishment--so yeah, Starscream is certainly not relevant.

Megatron had no reason to suspect that Starscream would do any such thing, so naturally he blamed his mortal enemies, namely the Autobots. The whole business with the Combaticons...well, he just never saw that one coming.

By the way, as long as we're talking about them, does anyone have any idea why they were imprisoned for so long? Am I missing something here? :???:

The Combaticons were on Cybertron in Cell 17, right? Was it 17? I can't remember at the moment, but just thier personality components were there, their original bodies were destroyed, most likely in the Smelting Pools.

All we know were they were branded 'Rogue Decepticons' and impresoned by Megatron for a helluva long time. They probably tried to make their own faction and usurp Megatron's authority. But that is just a guess. Perhaps they wanted to break out into the catering business.

I some times wonder after watching The secret of Omega Supreme if the Constucticons r truly evil?

Well, not until the mind-boggling awesomeness that is the ROBO-SMASHER got ahold of them (this is of course if you're taking "The Secret Of Omega Supreme" as the first appearance of these particular constructicons, dismissing Megs' cartoon creation as being performed by a similar team, and his comment about building them on Earth as "reconstructing" them there - maybe with copies of their personality components).

Heck, they even said they admired Grapple's work back on Cyberton. They weren't bad guys until Megs got to them.
