If we can get Hasbro to finish up with limbs for Starscream and Inferno-guy (and a full G2 Protectobot set) I'll finally sleep at night.

As for Starscream. I have of course Blackwing and Dreadwind, but BC 2016 Terrorsaur and Golden Lagoon Starscream (aka *Sunstorm*) complete him

I know I've done my fair share of nitpicking, but I'm definitely appreciative for the selects line, Even if Greenlight & Lancer were released at regular retail, under the old system, they may have been extremely difficult to find.

I cant wait to see what's revealed at SDCC next week.

I'd love to see photos of that seeker gestalt! Sounds like color scheme may be a little wild, but some of the others on the shelf are pretty extreme, too.

Still holding out that Takara may put out their own Buster and Hydra. That would make for a really nice unified set...

Of course, then you'd have to find a new home for Lagoon Starscream and Terrasaur.

Not to sound chauvinistic, but I think this is the ONE TIME in my collecting life where I've found color matching to be challenging. I've always believed the idea of fashion and "color matching" with our clothes to be an artificial construct of our minds, and something that *only women* can figure out . Not to say I do dumb things like wear loud colors, but My dress is pretty muted (blues, blacks grays etc...) , and if I have to dress formally, I ask my wife, what tie-shirt-jacket combos work etc, because I have no clue, and don't really care....

But for this....I've always been a stickler for *official* combinations wherever possible, but this is odd. Why would Hasbro mix them that way? One would think you would have Teal & Green as legs, Orange and Red as arms (or vice versa...) ...But whatever floats your boat, I guess... (*note my pic below was just for the sake of getting them completed, not how I plan to officially have Orthia displayed)

IRL, I'm an earth-tones kinda guy, but in TFs I usually stick to official or G1. All my CW combiners are in their "typical G1" configuration except Superion. I went with what looks best to me for that one both in mold use and color scheme. Air Raid and Skydive as legs with Fireflight and Slingshot making up the arms. Haven't made up my mind for Orthia yet.

So "official" with Orthia then?

Seeing the combined form, I can see that Hasbro was shooting for more of a strong colored, "boy" appealing toy. Lots of rich red and orange there.

Still, a part of me would really love to have Chromia in the mix AND some lighter, more toon accurate colors on all the rest for a real pastel rainbow themed gestalt. (ie. the fact that they were all pastel would be the theme that would tie them together.)

May have to do some digibashes to see how it would look.

This was more what I was hoping for combined. Excuse the poor digibash. Mostly just trying to do a proof-of-concept to see if it might be worth doing as a custom.

I hope someone can make a (non-destructive) Shapeways upgrade kit for Chromia so that she can be wielded as a whopping great big gun for Orthia. It'd fit her character and it'd be a cool way of integrating her into the team.

Weight would likely be a problem. Some of the combiners have a hard enough time holding up a legends weapon, deluxe could be really tough on the combiner elbows. However, the car window/canopy for the arm bots might be able to be positioned to help support things, so it may just work. Looks like I have something to play around with tonight and see where it goes.

I've seen upgrade kits on eBay to make Chromia a limb, not sure about a weapon. Maybe someone could come up with a fanmode backpack or something like they did with Legends Slash & Cindersaur for Volcanicus and Abominus.

Good idea. These things are riddled with peg holes. I bet that's an option.

I was going to answer Cary's earlier question about preferred config for Orthia with how she is in that pic. Not realizing it was the "official" way. And the reason is because the way Greenlight's and now Lancers hands and forearms work offers more clearance for her combiner knees.

But it could also boil down to what colors I like where. Never afraid to scramble here!

Well...This is hilarious, but in a good way. Definitely a deep cut, and answers the question...How was Hasbro going to reuse that Leader Shockwave mold Just for the sake of Nostalgia, I'd love it if somehow, Hasbro could work out a deal with RadioShack and sell these in store (yes there are some left), and on their website.
