I've got my eye on you!

Its the internet, I'm pretty sure complaining rounds out the top 3 reasons the internet exists (along with cat videos and porn)

I did, and it is quite hilarious. I love teeth on a jet like this.
I'm super glad I didn't take many of the first Apeface impressions to heart, he is really fun. Still enjoying just swinging him from mode to mode
Reminds me of those WW2 planes with the shark paint job

It's its own new thing, telling its own story about the last day before the Ark launched off of Cybertron, taking its main inspiration from the first episode of the G1 cartoon, in which the characters had Cybertronian altmodes but retained the same robot modes that they would continue to have on Earth. The second line of the trilogy, Earthrise, will likewise tell its own story about the Ark's journey through space.
The new IDW comics have used designs based on the Siege toyline, but are mostly telling their own pre-war story. Meanwhile, a new Netflix series is being created for the War for Cybertron Trilogy toylines, with Season 1 based on the Siege line, while Season 2 will be based on the Earthrise line.
Unhelpful to these matters is how this Trilogy is titled "War for Cybertron", but is otherwise completely unrelated to the old 2010 video game of the same name.

Whoa, this is the first I've heard of that, that's exciting news

The long, clear plastic peg isn't very strong, I snapped mine right off removing the shield. There's just enough peg left to attach securely to the arm and it can still connect to the cockpit, but it's a bit of a bummer having the broken peg.

(The combined mode is fine, they stick together well. The point of my snark is just that the "gun" mode is terrible.)

I sent mine back to Amazon, I paid too much to have a broken toy. Not sure if we should make a breakage article about this. And I am really hoping Hasbro rereleases him with this fixed when Snap Dragon comes out.

Ugh, just found out Apeface isn't confirmed for an Earthrise re-release. That may put a wrench in my plans for waiting

The combined vehicle mode is excellent, it's basically their default alt mode.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:william-james88 wrote:

Is it confirmed that he is NOT getting rereleased? Because, as I said, even snap dragon isn't a confirmed release yet and i'd assume they stick em together if Apeface was rereleased.
Wolfman Jake wrote:It would be really cool if the Earthrise re-releases would drop the battle damage paint apps. That would give us a choice on if we want to get them first in Siege or just wait until Earthrise for a "cleaner" look. Bonus points if an Earthrise Apeface were redone with better, non-pearlescent white plastic and the shield peg problem fixed.

I'm afraid the plastic used is a structural necessity. Otherwise we'd see a lot more breaking other than that shield peg.

Can you explain that a little more? Is there not a clean white version of that type of plastic in existence?
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:That I couldn't tell you. I can tell you that even if the dye used is the same shade as the white ABS, other components of the plastic could change the final color. Hasbro is somewhat inept in matching shades between plastics and paint apps.
Astrotrain is the only confirmed Siege rerelease for Earthrise. Any others have not even been mentioned as a possibility.william-james88 wrote:aronjlove wrote:How is the combined mode?
