My 2 cents on the altmode: G1 Space Gun or bust. Choosing a different mode would disqualify it from the Masterpiece name as it wouldn't be true to the original source, going against what Masterpiece is all about.

Every Decepticon on earth from Season one has been accounted for in the MP line while the autobots still have a ways to go.

I'm guessing you mean based on the catalogues, not in show. Otherwise the cons still have some left.

And shockwave was never on earth (right?). Also, while it might not count for many of us, Takara did issue an MP reflector as an accessory to MP 05 Gold Version.

Oh I couldnt agree more and I would love for a transforming one to come out. I just wanted to give the devil's advocate argument as to why Takara Tomy wouldnt feel inclined to devote so many resources to one.

Back in the old day when MP-12 Soundwave was revealed from one of the TV show, TTomy pull a teaser on us by putting a black silhouette of Shockwave before showing the true MP-12. If there's any license issue involve, I don't think they would do what they did back then. I'm sure they'll release MP Shockwave eventually.
