We haven't seen a Megatron either. I'm fully expecting to see them be a recolour or a Prime Master in some later wave - how can they pass up Classic Pretender Bumblebee? - but for the first 3/4 waves, nothing from either of them. Or Soundwave!

Yeah u know 'Bee!Even with a live action movie coming, how could they skip him in PotP?
I'm bored with 'Bee, too, but I wasn't a big fan back in the day, honestly. I get his appeal, but I always preferred characters like Jazz, Soundwave, etc.

I liked that he "grew up" in RID and the comics, though....

Yeah, about Pretender Grimlock.....I really think the humanoid Pretenders will work great with the Prime Master scale, possibly improving their overall look.

Absolutely Starscream should have, o.supreme! Instead, they gave him the Dark Lord treatment or something. Then again, Starscream is quite conceited, so perhaps his shell wouldn't be monstrous....

I have him with my Pretenders here, but in his Bearbrick form.

Of all the Pretender faces, though, Jazz was the worst imho. I don't expect he will be a PM though...

Hasbro threw a wrench into that one. The leak was pretty significant, as it showed most if not all product for all of 2018.

I think sticking with 18" like Devastator would still be properly scaled to regular combiner. I'm much more on board with Predaking being a massive monster than Devastator. (Still bought a Japanese Devi, though.)

The Decepticons got the more humanoid Starscream and Stranglehold, while the Autobots got the more unusual Doubleheader and monstrous Longtooth so it sort of even outs.

On another note, I want Leader class Optimus and Megatron to both have smaller bot modes that resemble their G1, or for Megatron G2, selves, but then evolve into Star Convoy and Super Megatron when combined with their trailers. And yeah, Megatron can have a trailer. I basically want him to be a giant main line version of this. Can you guess where Super Megatron's canon would go?

We never did, officially. The stock photos showed Hot Rod's vehicle mode with Rodimus Prime's robot mode. Kinda misleading, that.

Hot Rod's Smaller Robot mode is in the pics Hasbro released on their Facebook page so was one of he 1st official pictures of POTP we saw.

That said that image slightly above does remind me that it's worth noting that his gun splits.

I still think the hidden feature here is that:
1) All the leaders back ends have another mode - in the case of Rodimus & Optimus a base mode.

2) All the leaders front ends are the same width and because the arms and legs are from the trailer and the Torso and head from the cab - you can swap them over and put Optimus jnr (Orion Pax possibly) in Rodimus' body and vice versa.

I am interested to see if Optimus is Optimus or Orion though - it's a shame that Hasbro isn't the sort of company to give you an alternative head though for those who hold no special desire for a premium Orion Pax figure - or vice versa wanted Orion but get Optimus.

I can deal with it being Orion if it looks like cartoon Orion - if however it look like Optimus with an Orion head on it or is more of less IDW style which is just calling it Orion as it lacks the Matrix then I'm OK with that.

I would personally prefer one or the other though a very strongly Orion Pax looking figure or Just something that looks like a smaller Optimus regardless what it's called.. this also has the advantage of being something that can be easily repainted into Nemesis Prime / Scourge and not looking silly as a consequence.

I agree a Legends Sunstorm would be nice, I struggle a bit to see the point of Windcharger when Huffer/Pipes are more suitable for an update - I suspect the real reason is to allow them to make Tailgate. which does rather raise the point if they feel the need to update Windcharger a character who has 2 perfectly good toys already - does that mean they are gonna do the same to Swerve and Gears too ?

If they were in a mood to do Minibots Bumper might have been worth doing.

No, that above is the one and only shot we have of Hot Rod in bot mode. The Facebook images screwed up and put a picture of Rodimus Prime in place of Hot Rod's bot mode, and for the image of Rodimus Prime they used a pic of him with his chest open that shows off the Matrix.




But, wait, people thought there was no partsforming on him? Then how did you think the top of the Winnebago got to the bottom of Hot Rod's legs to make Rodimus Prime's arms?

You know, now that I look at it closer, it almost looks like Rodimus' biceps connect with CW joints. You can see them on the top of the alt mode.
