WOOT! That means there's a good chance they are in the Newcastle one as well.

edit - Looks like we've finally got our shortcut to the sightings forum. No more scrolling to the bottom of the page!

WOOT! No more clicking on my profile and finding the ODB through my posted posts thingy.

hell if your based in newcastle, carlisle (where i live) is only about a hours drive away, went to my wilko's (see my previous post about my magnus) they had 2 tit WWI meg's, ultra magnus 2 classic astrotrains, cliffjumper and a grimlock.

im all for meeting up at a convention, dont know about dressing up, unless you count jeans and a askaninja.com t-shirt dressing up

Arrgh, I be anchored in a small town just outside Newcastle. And though my instructer said I'm making excellent progress, I am no where near ready to sail my own ship yet. I only be having 5 lessons.

But I be going through Newcastle today, checking out Wilkinsons for cl Ramjet, Astrotrain and tit Magnus. And FP if they have an 08 bb spotted. Nice find Bobimus. I'll let ye know what my trauling reveals.

Yarr, I said the pyrate speak would return when Frimal got back. Glad ye enjoyed yerself me hartie and glad you avoided getting yer ship burned when that hotel went up.

Arrgh, they probably be a bunch of n00bs Chugster. Poor, uninformed fools thinking Cybertron had dinosaurs. For that to happen, Cybertron would need to have been organic once upon a time, with living creatures on it. What kind of fool would make that into the mythology. Oh, wait, never mind. :P

Ive seen forum posts of the pics of the WWI Grimlock that Don (WWI writer) has posted both here and on TFW2005, and nearly every other post on our forum is 'durr...err..why is Grimmy a tank?', it seems as if not many people here have even heard of the War Within comics...let alone reading them, where as everyone over at TFW knew what it was

Im pretty sure Don is the artist, Simon Furman is the writer.

Anyway, yeah, I was surprised at the utter lack of recognition, and inability to realise which line this was. I mean it was only announed at Botcon that Grim and Prowl were gonna round off this line. I was also very surprised nobody even recognised the name.

Mind, we HAVE had the expected influxe of movietard fans.

Happy Birthday DM. Don't worry, your only 2 years behind me.

I found and nabbed the last tit Magnus and cl Ramjet from Wilks. There was also 2 Astrotrains (1 now. YEY, I have one that is fully transformable again! ) as well as 2 Grimlocks and a Cliffjumper. There were also 3 tit WWI Megatrons, but I have no interest in him.

FP had 1 Dreadwing and 2 Arcee in, but no BB.

Oh I can't wait to get home and re arrange my little collection. Custom cl Skywarp and Ramjet flanking Blackout, with Barricade and cl BB in vehicle mode in front flanking tit Magnus behind a painted Mini-nock. With tooon coloured cl Astrotrain standing beside white cl Astrotrain on a slightly elevated shelf in front of one of my monstrous speakers. Eventually gonna be flanking Encore Soundwave.

I may as well ask this now, although I'm not gonna do it straight away.

Which parts do I switch on Magnus's legs? Could someone post pics of what I'm supposed to be unscrewing and switching with giant arrows pointing to it?

And what do I switch for the arms? I'm not so fussed about the missile launchers, but it would be nice to know how incase I change my mind.

I can kinda understand the Noobs "Whu, Grimlock Tank?" thing as when I arrived here I didn't know anything past G1 (seems such a long time ago) but with the wealth of information here and Wiki etc. it's easier to search than ask.

Both of the mods for Tit Magnus are really simple Insurgent, with luck we shouldn't need any pictures.

For the thighs take a philips head precision screwdriver (only a couple of quid for a set of six from any hardware store or market if you don't have this) and remove the two screws on the inside of each thigh (white plastic part forming the upper leg). Each thigh piece will now easily seperate into two pieces. Put the ones from the left leg back together on the right leg and vice versa. So long as the screws are still facing each other and you haven't accidentally put the lower leg on the wrong way around you'll now have a more posable Magnus.

The shoulders are even easier and no tools are required. Pull the arms off the shoulders and the lower arms off the elbows. Swap the lower arms. Replace the arms so that the faction symbols are facing the back of the robot mode rather than the front. You may as well at least give this one a go, if you prefered it the way it was it's no hassle to just swap the parts back.

Dose anybody know which shop to look at to find the classics Nude Magnus vs Skywarp in the UK?
I want that pack, cos it would mean one c skreamer less for me to customise.

Woolworths had the Magnus/Skywarp pack as a 'UK exclusive' but you'll be really lucky to find one now. I've seen nothing but movie junk in Woolies for months. Somebody did report finding one on clearance in the toy forum the other week but that seems to be the exception to the rule. Woolies near me either never got them or sold out before I could get my grubby little mits on the set so I ended up baying it.

Many happy returns of the day despite the bad news on that one.

Arr, a late happy birthday from me too DM!

I'm surpised movienoobs are still hanging around. I wish they would sod off though. They make my computer load Seibertron.com a lot slower than it used to :P

We had better see that Tit WWI Grimlock over here. I must have him!

Nothin new here. Slowly saving what dubloons I can for my next infusion of alternator goodness. It'll take a while; especially since I'm quite a bit in between pay outs.

Ah, thanks. So I basically swap his thighs around but leave his lower legs. Thanks. Having cracked him open, I think I'll do both.

Verdict? I know no one asked, but I'm gonna give it anyway. :P

I don't know what I was expecting, him being my first titanium. More cold metal perhaps? Anyway, He's a nifty little figure, and pleased with him overall, but I can't help feeling he's a little lackluster. I'm sure I'll find him better when I do the mods. Though I have trouble clipping his lower legs together and his arms don't fit into the knee holes in the top of them when he transforms. The lift up chest is a nice touch, though there should have been a mini matrix in there, even if it was just painted in.

Ramjet is a nice figure. Glad I picked him up. Though his wings dont run along his body in line with his cockpit. They angle down if he is flying with his cockpit striaght, or his pilot is pointing upwards if his wings are flat. Still a nice figure.

Astrotrain. A damn nice figure that has tighter joints than the one I painted. That one had a floppy tail wing that would hang down in train mode, but this one is tighter than a cat in a leather boot. I don't know why, I just started thinking of Puss in Boots from Shrek 2. Anyway, this one also has nicer paint applications, no smudging or missing chunks like the other one. Guess I chose the right one to customise. :D

I underestimated the height of Magnus though. His original spot blocked out Blackout, so he has taken Soundwave's place between the Train's for the time being. I need to find a nice spot to plunk him.

It's a shame you missed out on Tit Rodimus. He was much better than Ultra Magnus, especially in posability.
They're me only two tits at the mo. But I intend to get WWI Megs later, when I'm not busy buying Alts and Classics and whatnot. :P

Always the same bar chick too. At least she reckons we're not as weird as the historical wargaming lot :P As far as Dave Ellis goes I know that the website has disappeared and I haven't seen him posting anywhere as Mini for an age now. Not sure if he still has the shop near Nottingham or not. Hadn't he been in fairly poor health for a while? Anyone with any info on the rather fine and upstanding gentleman known to men as Mr Ellis please share.

I saw Rodimus plenty of times. Even the other day, though I forget where. And aye, it's an impressive looking robot mode, and knowing all the good things everyone said about him, but I wasn't interested in him. I still aint. Perhaps one day, but that day is long off. After today's purchases, I now need to save my money for Soundwave and driving lessons.

Ouch! Don't you just hate it when reality smacks you upside your face?

All I've heard about Ellis is he was stopping selling tfs online. Which is a shame, cos I intended to buy an Alt Sideswipe off him at some point. And when I checked, his website was indeed gone.

He must be hospitalised or summat.
I hope he's ok, his shop looks like a tf fanboy's wet dream. :-?

I hope it's on 08. I'll have to save some (read, lots) moolah to spend on completing some of my past tf series collections.

BINGO BANGO!

That's exactly how i felt/feel about Magnus. My uter amazment at managing to make a (very) posable transformer out of G1 Magnus was totally over shaddowed by my realisation that they could have done SO much better with it.

As for Botcon, wouldnt the easiest thing to do (for us to recognise eachother) would be to print out our avvies and put em on a badge, perhaps with our usernames underneath.

And holy crappie-oly, I didnt occour to me until someone else said it, but I'm gonna start learnign to drive soon. **** Im gonna have cut donw on the tfs. And there are some expensive ones I want too, MP3 Soundblaster to compliment Soundwave, Encore Ratchet and Ironhide, MP Skywarp, US MP SS... ****.

Something's gonna have to give.
