Then I called Hasbro Pulse's Customer Service, and they told me they could give me a refund, but since it was a limited pre-order they did not have any in stock to send to me. (Now what's dumb is that also means they apparently didn't get extras in case of damages)

When I asked about just turning it around and re sending it when they got it back, they said they weren't set up to do that. WTF

I actually am in charge of shipping at the company I work for. We've done that before here. It's not difficult.

How's that for frustrating?

Ack, that really sucks! Something similar happened to me a few months ago when Generations Selects Smokescreen started shipping out. It shipped out to my old address and I found out that hard way that Hasbro Pulse doesn't update your pre-orders when you change your address in your account. I was able to pick up my package from the old address before it was sent back, at least. I hope you get some sort of compensation if not complete satisfaction on this. I would complain again to a manager or something.

I got to open up my Star Convoy last night. I really like him a lot. The stickers went on easily, and they're all a LOT straighter than the factory applied ones from PotP Optimus Prime. That said, a lot of the other flaws of the original mold are still present, along with some new ones, though. The ankle joints are not quite strong enough to hold up the figure if it's not standing up straight and perfectly balanced. The gun pieces don't fit together quite snuggly enough, but it's not an issue, unless you're trying to put the silver chromed Matrix of Leadership in between them. So much for that new feature. The biggest issue, though, is the four pointed star crest in Star Convoy mode. It's very tricky to get that to peg in and stay, and it will still pop out if given anything more than a feather's touch. I tried the "Peuagh" trick of flipping around that red joint piece, and that helped marginally, but it hasn't solved the problem entirely, not by a long shot.

I liked the original PotP Optimus Prime figure, so I'm digging this retool as a Japanese continuity version of Optimus Prime that I've never had before. Compared to the original Star Convoy, this new one looks better proportioned. The resculpted details evoke the G1 toy very well. It's too bad that the chest windows weren't remolded, though. I think that would have completed the look. I don't even mind the red and blue plastic parts on the trailer, as those are also present in the G1 toy. I wish they had thrown in a Micromaster Hot Rod for good measure, but my Combiner Wars Legends Class Hot Rod will do for now, though an even smaller figure would scale that much better. I'm not too arsed about the lack of an official "base mode" for Star Convoy. I'm sure fans will come up with some inventive configurations to homage the original base mode of the G1 toy, but that looks ridiculous back then too. Whatever fans come up with on their own couldn't look any worse, lol!

All in all, I like this figure. It's not setting my world on fire, but it's not at all a disappointment. He'll look great on my "Japanese G1" shelf space, along side Dai Atlus and company, Super God Ginrai, and others.

I feel like a winner today because my Lancer finally showed up. While it may have been easy for some to pick her up my my journey was filled with failures.

I think she might actually be my favorite of the 4 limb gals. I love her colors in hand, and the new molding from Greenlight/Novastar is great

I freaking love Lancer. I also love the mold and have all four limbs plus the Siege Chromia and Siege Nightbird versions. I just don't understand the detachable crotch piece on the Siege versions. Lance's colors really standout, this is a brightly colored combiner.

Oh she is. That whole combiner is so loud and so much fun for that reason. She will always stand out on the shelf for sure

Lancer's colors are a little too sporty for me, like she's wearing a tracksuit to a tailgate party. I think Greenlight and her elf ears is my fave. Her alt mode deco is just so lovely.

I just need some Victorion hands & feet for Orthia. That'd be a Selects accessory pack I'd buy in a heartbeat. Why'd no one ever KO/3P'd those things?

I agree, at least the feminine hands will work wonders on Orthia. Maybe even a Forge of Solus Prime as her weapon...

Greetings Seibertronians! Straight from the Planet Iacon Facebook page is news that Takara Tomy is offering a bundle for all the Seacons! This means for one price you can get King Posideon.



According to Planet Iacon, the set is due for release in March 2020, and the price is set at ¥28, 050 (current exchange rate puts that at $257.69) this will get you all six members of the Seacon team and accessories.

I'm definitely tempted by this new boxset, seeing as I didn't manage to get a pre-order in for the first two and then didn't bother with the last four

thats about $25-$30 more then what they cost separately. Sadly I wasn't able to preorder the first set, so never bothered to preorder the others, banking on a combo set coming eventually. so this will probably be the route I end up going.

Assuming it's just a bulk order of the 3 2-packs without any extras included, how do the prices compare?

I wish there were more info on packaging, deco and any extra accessories. The “perfect mode” line makes me worry there might be

I am 99% certain that this is just like the PotP Dinobot set, where it was just a bundle of all the individuals without adding anything extra and it's all the individual boxes in a large brown box

Me too, except the regular dual releases are already armed to the teeth with each one having at least 1 gun and a melee weapon that can combine into the combiner's sword. The hands and feet are new already, so I can't see them doing an even better set just for the box set. The only additional accessory I can think of that that wouldn't be pretty redundant in would be a stand for the limb bot who is pulling gun duty. Other than that, all I can think of is nicer packaging.

At least that is what I'm telling myself for now. If Pulse puts up a pre-oerder for the set, I may revisit my thinking.

But that was a hasbro china initiative, this is TT, so there may be a few extra wrinkles in the comparison. The better comparison might be with the Ginrai boxset which TT released after the induvidual releases. That one did have extra stuff.

I have the two packs coming in through Pulse so I'm set already. I'm glad this exists though for everyone who missed pre-orders the first time through.

And, since it's a TakaraTomy Mall offer, a lot of good that does for most of us here since you can only order from TTM if you have a mailing address located inside Japan.

Some fans, like powered convoy, use a forwarding service for TTMall exclusives. Shipping is free within japan so you dont spend twice on shipping.

And thanks for letting us know its a bundle and not a boxset, that settles things.

I want to be enthused about the Seacons - except we've already had so, SO many combiners that were remolded from the CW Superion set, or which use a remolded Silverbolt as the core. If these were really all original, then I might be willing to overlook the massive price tag. As it stands - it looks you're just not getting enough that's 'new' to justify the expense. If it goes on clearance at BBTS for 50% off sometime, then maybe. But $250? I trow not!

BBTS is not a provider of this set currently. They had preorders for the first two but took down the pages. I know this because I ordered them and now I probably won’t get them and they never posted preorders for the other sets. Only a handful of 3rd party retailers locked in some inventory but it’s primarily sold through Takara Tomy mall and hasbropulse and it’s all sold out currently. This is not going to be a clearance item
