Wait, so are we to believe that this movie will unite all the nonsensical, disconnected, conflicting and plothole-riddled backstory, McGuffins and miscellaneous space tchotchkes such as the AllSpark, Megatron Antarctic crash, Seed, Transformium, Ark, Sentinel Prime, Pillars, Star Harvester, Nemesis/Fallen base, Matrix - and probably a bunch of others I've forgotten - into a single coherent story?

There are no plot holes.

Other than the fact it isn't the G! version, what exactly is wrong with how this Roddy looks/speaks? Just because it isn't exactly like the original source doesn't necessarily make it bad. T o be honest, I prefer G1 Roddy, but I haven't seen enough of this one to make a large opinion yet.

I had no problems. Bay has shown from the very first movie that this isnt G1 so I dont know why fans havent caught onto that. They are just using G1 names and vague archetypes for the main characters. Aside from that, its really a new interpretation.

Maybe it's less they haven't caught on and more they won't accept the fact that Transformers have moved on from the 80's. I see that a lot in the comments for videos on YouTube for "Ground Zero" ("TIll All are One"), "Dare", and similar songs that seem to show this.

Yeah it colud very well be that.

But thats why I like having people like Sly on our forums. Regardless what fans think, these movies have a MASSIVE following and a lot of people find them awesome. The great amount of fans saying they dont like em end up being a minority so its nice to have some comments representing the majority (thanks Sly!).

And we can think of it this way: there are still many die hard TF fans out there who hate Beast Wars and think that the BW Masterpiece figures are terrible since now they have to wait longer for more G1 Masterpiece toys

Cogman and Hot Rod are the newest bots in Transformers: The Last Knight, which we stil know very little of. And if you havent been to any of the fan events yet, then you haven't even seen a clip with them. Well things are about to change since right below you will see a clip from the movie featuring all these characters along with Bumblebee, Anthony Hopkins and Mark Wahlberg, taken at the MTV Awards happening this Sunday evening.

Okay, now that I have that context, I'm just gonna sit back and laugh whenever I see hate on the movies. I'm not going to be able to see negative comments without seeing this post in my mind.

I personally love the movies. Sure, I find Bumblebee annoying, but that is my personal opinion. I do prefer the Aligned continuity (especially Prime), but the '07 movie and toyline was my first look at the brand and what got me hooked. So, while not my favorite, the movies hold that special place that the '84 cartoon does for people.

He's called que in the movies and that's all that matters. The comics don't matter.

The credits call him Que/Wheeljack so for all intents and purposes he is Wheeljack enough that there will never be another attempt at the character in the current run of movies.

Which is good in my opinion I'm all for more use of obscure names like Barricades, Blackouts and Crosshairs or completely original names like Cogman or Dino characters with names that are not as nostalgic so people don't get false expectations based on previous versions of the characters.

Wow. What a huge spoiler that tweet is. Putting together 2 and 2, Bay just pretty much told us that Cybertron will be destroyed for good. If 1 world lives and 1 dies, it won't be Earth that dies. So, The Last Knight will be the end of Cybertron. But will Prime and/or Megatron die with it?

Maybe that's the twist and they destroy Earth.

Can't tell if you're serious or not, but that's highly unlikely considering that Bayverse is utterly human-centric.

Tis was a joke but hey if this really is Bay's last film he could give us a big send off with the most epic destruction of Earth.

I doubt it honestly but going by the trailer stuff Earth is going to be heavily damaged from another planet dragging it's metal parts on the surface of the Earth.

That's supposed to be one of the goals of this movie yes as stated by Bay himself during the Imax fan preview although how it does is being kept secret until the movie comes out

I do wonder what bay's fixation is on British transformers and especially his fixation on mark Ryan who is absolutely awful.

Hot rods voice certainly not as bad as expected but I do hope he changes his voice by the end since they learn earth's languages through the worldwide Web hopefully he'll get judd nelsons voice by the end.

But honestly not every original actor needs to come back nor do all Transformers need American accents so how about more Australian, French, Jamaican, Russian and so on especially a Canadian Transformer eh?

Mark Ryan was damn awesome as Jetfire and Lockdown and were some of the most entertaining characters in the films especially Lockdown being the best antagonist in these movies besides maybe Sentinel.

This is why I hate human kind. Of damn course Michael Bay won for "worst director," because it's the cool thing to do, to hate on and talk **** about him for no reason. The amount of ignorance is baffling.

As opposed to what, your single minded obsession with defending any and all Michael Bay Transformer movies?

Oh no! Someone dissed the movies! Someone said something bad about Michael Bay! But wait, here comes SlyTF1, Bay's very own knight in shining armour swooping in to insult and ridicule those mean mean people!

Get off your high horse and open your eyes, you want to talk ignorant? Take a good long look in the mirror. Anyone getting butthurt over the Razzies is an ignorant fool. The Razzies began, and exist, as a mock towards the Oscars, to honour those movies that just weren't so great.

They're not meant to be taken seriously.
They're not going to change people's opinions on movies
They're not going to affect the profits made
They're not going to ruin your childhood.

What they do is give people like me, a chance to mock and laugh at fools like you who ignorantly rush to defend those movies the Razzies honour.

It's interesting that the Movie threads are always the ones that brings who we are out such as Sly or Will or Prowl4 or Kurona or myself.

But I'm excited for this film as well since the movies are something I have a personal connection to they might not be the best films and I agree with that but damn if I don't find them one of the most entertaining experiences in my 19 years of life.

Especially being in the theater the first time it comes on for each film and the feeling I get in my chest like if I was watching a thrilling/horror movie is something not much else beats and the only other movie I've felt like that was during Rogue One's final battle.

Eh, it's entirely possible he'll die or just go away after a few movies and this will have been a weird little detour that won't really have shaped our perception of Hot Rod/Rodimus as a character archetype in the slightest and hence won't really be iconic. Happened with Wheeljack, right?

Yes it was. They changed his name late in production because they wanted to do a nod to Bond with him. Comics even had him get blown to scrap and rebuilt and renamed him Que. for all intended purposes he was wheeljack.

I'd just like to add that in the credits of Dark of The Moon his character was listed as Que/Wheeljack... and he's honestly one of the more faithful movie representations in terms of character, not sure why it needs to be such a heated debate
