Since I've been tracking the 24 hour records the trends more or less flip every 2-3 months.
You just happened to come back in the middle of the Cons upside. It'll fade. (fade faster if 007 & some of the other fb lurkers (including myself) played more)

I don't know that it'd help, but it might make the fights more interesting.

If those dotted lines show trend, then it looks like Autobots have been trending down and Cons have been trending up for a while, even if the numbers do flip flop.

It is true. The overall trend of the year is that the Cons are slowly trending up & the Bots down.
It's not helping that the formerly active high level Bots are bored out of their gourds while the Cons have some very active upstarts that have shot up through the ranks over the last couple months.

According to my highly accurate & scientific chart (based on a piss poor metric) the tipping point happened in early April. That's when the trend lines crossed and the Cons took the lead after a month of dominating the 24 hour record... at which point the Bots crushed it for the next month.
So trendlines don't necessarily show what's happening on a day to day basis.

No, but they're a good indicator of long term. It's to bad we can't have nice things like a merc faction.

I consider it a poor indicator because it doesn't take into account how many of those wins are lopsided or onesided.

When I do my monthly 24 hour analysis (which I just wrapped up) I take into account at least the unopposed missions and have been considering adding a way to further narrow things down to just the "fair fights" but it's such a subjective thing that I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

To keep this post 'on topic' I'll brag:
Even though at 9:30 EST the 24 hour banner claimed the Cons were ahead, if you remove the unopposed matches the Bots were

24 hour analysis from 9:30 AM EST yesterday to today:
In the last 24 hours Bots won 164 Missions, the Cons 173, & Unknowns 2 for a total of 339 Missions
Of those missions 129 (38.1%) were unopposed: 56 Bot wins (34.2% of their total wins), 71 Con wins (41.0%), 2 Unknowns (100%)
Removing the Unopposed missions:
Bots won 108, Cons 102
There were 35 individual Commanders playing: 19 Bots & 16 Cons
Eliminating Commanders that only deployed once: Bots 15, Cons 16

And that I was the most active player of the day

You shouldn't discount missions from the total just because they were unopposed or under defended. And fair fight in this game is subjective given how many times high level characters won't do anything for a good chunk of the round. How about the missions where the game declares the side with one survivor the victor against two opponents because it timed out? Are you going to go through and resort those? Those seem more egregious than missions where you get one guy against five or six.
