There's only 1 web site listed in this topic for voice actors so it was preddy straight forward. Just check out the web site, look at the section on Jazz and listen to the recordings.

G1 had two different voice actors, one of them was Scatman and the other was a white guy who did a horrible job of sounding like Jazz. I'm betting that for whatever reason Scatman wasn't there for an episode and the role of Jazz was replaced for that one episode by the other guy but I have no idea what episode the recording was taken from.

The other two voice actors on Jazz's page are for Animated and Movie Jazz. Pore Movie Jazz didn't last verry long and no one cared about him. (Unless of course you think of him as G1 Jazz which he isn't.)

My mistake....when you said "4 people played Jazz" I thought you ment all in G1.

OK I understand what you were asking now. I reread my post and realized why you missinterpreted it that way.

I was talking about a voice actor from G1 and in the same line of speach was talking about all Jazzes in general so there was never a break between when I was refering to G1 on it's own and then when I was includeing the Animated and Movie versions.

I've gone back and fixed this.

The lack of love in this thread for Neil Kaplan and Daniel Riordan disturbs me. Neil's Optimus Prime was outstanding and Daniel's Megatron was good too.

I like Neil, Cullen, David, and Gary about equally though, its really hard to decide. There was only one mention of Neil though, and that's just so saddening!

As far as Megatron's go, Frank Welker was ehhh...not so great, but man Hugo Weaving is awesome.

But for my favorite Megatron voice actor, its gotta be David Kaye. BW Megatron trumps every other Megatron in every way possible and its partially thanks to David's killer portrayal.

I like them. They're not my favorites but I like them.

Hey did anyone happen to listen to the original and present day versions of Peter Cullen and Judd Nelson as Optimus and Rodimus?

Peter Cullen's original Optimus Prime sounds a little distorted to me while the movie version is just his voice without the robotic synthisizer. Pluse he sounds way older.

Judd Nelson on the other hand, it doesn't seem like his Animated voice has changed much from the G1 version.

I wonder why it seems like Peter's voice has aged more than Judd's?
