I've gone through the prequel material and it seems strange that hes not mentioned in the comic or novel...

Maybe someone who's read the leaked script can fill me in on why this is.

If I had to guess I'd say either they did not know enough about Brawl's role in the movie when the pieces were written to include him in either. Or else maybe he comes to earth later in the movie. Like after the Autobots start stirring up the Decepticon game plan maybe they call Brawl in with his heavy artillery.

Just throwing ideas up...

In my movie novelization, Bonecrusher, Brawl, (Called Devastator in the book. I guess it is based on an early sript.) and Starscream all show up at the very end for a climatic final battle. Bonecrusher and Brawl/Devastator don't even speak!

that is true. bonecrusher and brawl show up in the 'final' battle of the movie. they don't speak, along with most of the decepticons. i don't think they all speak in english in the movie, but they do speak in the transformer language as there is subtitles during parts where they talk to eachother.

Well, Bonecrusher at least has to show up to fight with Prime on the highway, which I hope isn't part of the 'final battle'. Hopefully, there's a good spread of fighting throughout with a last hurrah at the end. And I hope Brawl's in it a lot, because he looks really really really awesome.

i hope brawl is in the movie it would suck if he wasn't.

i think that there should be a nice fight scene between brawl and ironhide.

He's just a fill-in soldier destined to be pwnt. He serves no purpose to the film.

that fight between bonecrusher and prime is in the final battle i think. that 'highway' is ontop of the huge dam that megatron and the allspark are being kept in. brawl only comes in for the final battle i believe.[/color]
