The Energon Pub

A while back I had seen Darkcave Customs had done a really awesome "Ironhide" out of AOE Hound and thought I gotta do this! (Theirs sold for like $170 on eBay...) Few months later after getting my 3D print from shapeways. I finally got a chance to work on my first phase of this guy. And to be honest I might not even go on to doing some of the other aspects to him and just leave him close to what you see here. Dirtying him up is nice, but think he doesn't need to much of it for the look I am going with right now.

In that final shot, I think he looks soooo like he's about to spit a chaw of tobacco out of his mouth. Great job!

I feel totally inspired by this image to finally try something like this. What you did looks amazing! Out of curiosity do you have any pictures of how he looks in his alt mode?

Glad you like it! I have not taken any yet alt mode pictures, which I need to... Right now his alt mode doesn't have much fancy about him other than blacked out windows, and I stripped the red spray paint off the soft plastic parts.

Ill see if I can get some alt mode screen shots this week. For me... I usually only like the robot modes. Most of these "repaints" tend to be a bit on the soft side so having to be careful to not strip details.

I am about to start up two more so I suppose I should make sure I have a complete set of pictures. Just got Scorn, and Strafe. Planning on doing a mix of WFC Darkside look on one and the other being just straight dark with silver accents.
