Will you ever slow down?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Will you ever slow down?

Postby ponycorn » Tue Oct 07, 2008 1:42 pm

...or stop being in to Transformers?

As my motorcycle isn't increasing in miles as fast...
As my other comic universes slip into my longbox un-read...
As my Xbox 360 builds up dust with Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 un-finished...

...My TF comics have been read through so many times I lost count.
...My shelves are so full of TFs I need to buy more shelves.
...My trips to buy household goods revolve around TF hunting.

So I wonder, who else here has noticed a similar pattern in your life? Who else, like me, wonders if TFs will sometime step aside or have to make room for something else. :-(
In a place such as this, you are the perfect prey for a brest animal!

Sell them to raise a family? Sheesh.

You've already got a family,........of transformers.

You might wanna box them all up and stick 'em in Moms house for a few years while you're giving the family thing a shot. It'd be nice if that doesn't work out if you still had the option of getting your old collection out of Moms house.

it's cool that you take "life" so seriously that you're planning something like that. But it's never good to get rid of a collection unless you're truly sick and tired of it and really think you're never gonna be interested in them again.

I can guarantee there's people here that did the same thing at a point in their life and now really regretting getting rid of some of those figures.

As for slowing down? Nah, I can't buy as many as I'd like now, so I'd rather speed up if I could.

Crazy thoughts like "sell them to support a family" are why I will never have children.

This is blasphemy! This is madness!

Okay, someone had to say it :P

While my interest in TFs has its highs and lows, it hasn't completely gone away since I was five, so I figure it probably isn't going to.

Assuming that's not a joke, you might want to hang onto any TFs your hypothetical children might enjoy. I haven't met the kid who doesn't <3 toy robots. :)

I speed up on TF lines that i like, or that makes more sense to me. Like realism and nostalgic value.

Classics/Universe and Movie series falls into these categories.

I slow down when i see a TF line being less and less valuable to me. Or that it doesn't mean much to me.

Alternator/Binaltech and MP are examples of these. I started to collect a few, then eventually drop out.

The rest of the series, i never bought any of them.

(G1 is an exception that won't fall into any of the 3 groups. I had several of them when i was a kid. But all of them were eventually stolen not long ago. I don't plan to recover any. Classics will take its place.)

Although i'd like to see any and all of them, regarless of series whenever i pass by toy shops. :)

Weapon: Diffraction Sword
It would take a dire emergency for me to sell my entire collection. Selling a few pieces that don't much interest me, in order to buy a super awesome figure I've been coveting, now that I can understand, and have even considered once or twice.
