Not to flex my brain matter, but I just assumed since this had the same designer that also made the MP version of Sabey, he'd probably have storage for the sword in the same spot! Then I checked the figure itself and voila, I was right.

Isn't that a picture of his robot mode?

It sits in the same spot for alt-mode, the arms have a small groove for it to snuggle in between.

You put the blade into the slot in robot mode, because you can't access the slot in vehicle mode.

well, got mine in today, and it was kinda heartbreaking. the box was pretty jacked up, minor complaint, and saber has a chip in his gold chrome as well as a tiny blemish on his right arms autobot symbol. the latter is no big deal the former kind of is. will contact hasbro later today and see what my options are. maybe reprolables will make fixer stickers lol ><

So for those that don't know, I work night shift and it's now noon. I stayed up because I didn't want to miss my second delivery attempt from FedEx, which happened a moment ago. So of course this driver says "I was just going to to drop it off and sign for you." Why couldn't the driver yesterday have been so courteous or careless depending on how you look at it?
Well, whatever, I'm going to bed, I'll probably open them tomorrow.

Just got done looking over my set. Everything looked good at first while I was getting them out. I then checked for the handle for the cannon and it was there. I checked the face cover on Victory Leo and while tight at first, it loosened up just a little bit with a few opening/closings and it now perfectly toleranced like others have said. Holi and Fire are a bit loose but wasn't as bad as I've seen from others.
Next up was Victory Leo proper. I started to check the joints working from the head to the arms and then to the legs...and I found a problem. Not just one of my quibbling over nothing either. I first noticed that the figure's right leg, the one on my left when looking at it head on, has a loose transformation hinge. Meaning that when I move that leg outward, instead of the leg moving at the hip joint, it moves at the transformation hinge. At first I thought that it was just a little loose and some water based polyurethane/Kiki would fix that.
However I then noticed the actual problem. The part of the hip that's supposed to lock the leg together was actually broken. So that when the leg closed up, the tab that's on the lower thigh that's supposed to lock into the upper thigh had nothing to latch onto. The plastic was caved into the thigh. Meaning that it happened when they put the leg together at the factory. If I had broke it then it would've been pulled outward from when I first tried to move the leg outward at the hip.
*QUICK EDIT/ADDITION: Everything else was fine.*
Some pictures for reference that I took of it upside down so it looks like I'm talking about the wrong hip and am going to retake before sending to Hasbro so they don't get confused:

Either Haabro changed that or the guys just mis-spoke, because the shoulder is a full on ratcheting joint.
The shoulder joints can butterlfy forward AND back. The one moving the shoulder forward is ratcheted, the one moving backward is not (this is what some people complained about).
Also, both Saber & Victory Saber can do forward ab-crunch. While Saber's is necessary for transformation, VS is not, that's also appreciated.
It butterflies (is that a word?) back? Hurm, I can't seem to figure out how...

Man, getting old sucks....
It sure does! I thought the instructions were a little vague in a few spots, but maybe that's just my age showing.
I also did not see the part about storing the sword in the leg, I thought it was just a convenient place to put it, not the intended spot!

Missed my delivery by minutes. It came just after I left for work, and while the only other person in the house had gone for a quick grocery run. Of all times, it had to be during the half-hour window where no one was home to sign for it!

Received a notification on mine today (...finally).
Shipped on the 10th. I still in Chico. Supposedly arriving on the 16th. I may miss it due to something at work I am attending. But I can be home on the 17th for certain.

I missed mine too. I was tempted to leave work early to be home but it didn't matter, by the time my schedule cleared up the attempt was already made.
I can't work from home the next couple days.
Is there a way to get around this required signature I wonder. I may just have to pay the $5.55 to schedule a delivery time.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

When I signed up for the App...or maybe it was Delivery Manager, I was able to authorize all deliveries to myself without the need for a signature.
Although maybe that's just for Canadians...
Also, I never even saw my delivery IN the app, so I don't know how helpful pre-authorizing the delivery was...

I checked my pulse orders and they said my Sabers were "Fulfilled" today. I know FedEx hasn't stopped here, but I pulled up the actual FedEx tracking numbers and they both say they were last scanned in Chino on the 10th and are expected to arrive on the 16th.
At least I know when to expect them.
Why they aren't shipping out of the Georgia warehouse, when I live in Georgia, is beyond me.

Yes, both forward/backward butterfly joints are solely designed for posing, not for transforming. Both are very sturdy on my copy and can take some abuse, no worry for me.

The more I fiddle with the set the more I'm happier with this purchase. Combining the two into a massive jet bristling with weaponry (and having two Micromasters riding on top) is such a nice display piece. Especially with the included stand, thank goodness for that.
I should be lucky that I haven't had any QC issues, other than one of Saber's shoulders feeling slightly tighter than the other along with Holi and Fire having a bit too much paint on their thighs for the balljoints. I'm glad the two little guys haven't felt wibbly in my set either, I unironically love getting more Micromasters.

Man...couriers are just bats#$%! crazy lately. I had an amazon truck driver literally quit and go back to the warehouse when he was 1/4 mile (5 stops away) from my home Saturday, I got the delivery yesterday, but it was late, and was delivered by someone Amazon had to hire privately to make deliveries
.
Now, My Victory Saber that was on the FedEx truck all day, (trying to ensure someone would be home all day to accept delivery) was delayed due to "weather" until tomorrow. Its been 50 degrees and sunny all day...

Re: HasLab Transformers Victory Saber Discussion
Been playing around with this a lot moreand I like him more and more each time. Another minor quibble is how small Saber is.
I struggle to call him a deluxe, and he looks puny next to other Autobot leaders. Even Hot Rod towers over him.
I wish he was a full deluxe, and the brain of Courage were titan master size. For instance, taking off the Star Saber helmet gives you this:
Kinda looks like a shrunken head...
However, with a titan sized head:
Perfection!
Neat coincidence that Top Spin's head is a dead-ringer for Saber.
I wonder if the Takara version is a better colour match?

That certain is better looking with the Top Spin head, though still not quite big enough. Though, that said, the cartoon wasn't particularly good at making his head smaller than his helmeted head.

Glad I'm not the only one who is bothered by how tiny Saber is. He is supposed to be the same height as the likes of Optimus, Rodimus, Perceptor, etc. Instead, he's a shrimp about the size of a little old Scout class toy.
Likewise, Star Saber is supposed to be combiner-sized.
This pint-sized height of the set is really making me feel like tracking down the masterpiece to get the character at the correct height, since the MP itself was already too small to work with MP scale but was just the right size for CHUG scale.
