So, we heard about the 2010...thingy...called Hunt for Decepticons, but what is it?

Personally, I think it is the new Universe/Classic line, but could it be the placeholder (or real) name for the new cartoon? Could it be a Classics cartoon?

I would be thrilled if the new cartoon was a brand-new series, and whatever it is, I'll love it. But in any case, if it were a Classic cartoon, why 'Hunt for Decepticons?' Maybe it happens after the G1 toon, and the Autobots are hunting down the remaining Decepticons?

Or, if it is a new series, could that red car prototype and that grey Legends...Scout...Cybertronian mode...thing be the first signs of the new toyline? Maybe the red one's a new Bumblebee, Jazz, or some other car, and the Cybertronian truck is a Cybertronian mode Optimus?

Anyway, this is the Cartoon and Comics forum, so I need to be talking about cartoon. So, what could it be? My guess it Toy Fair '10 will give us our first previews of the new line (sorry, talking about toys again) and BotCon '10 will reveal exactly what Hunt the Decepticons is. And if it is the new cartoon, maybe we'll see leaked models in December, January, February, ect.

I cannot wait for the new series. Right now, I'm just watching the occasional TF episode - an Animated episode here, rewatching the entire Cybertron series there, my one Beat Wars episode (Spider's Game) the other day...but that cannot buy my attention forever. I fully intend to see Transformers through for the rest of my life, but I find it hard to do when Hasbro is giving us - here, ROTF Bumblebee repaint, here, G1 Seasons, oh, hi, surprise! Animated Season 3. I can't do that! I've seen these all before! (Actually, when I get G1 Season 2 pt. 1 and 2, I'll be seeing a lot of new episodes, but...)

So, back on topic, what do you think Hunt the Decepticons is?

Probably a project codename or working title. Animated was called "Transformers: Heroes" during development. If "Hunt the Decepticons" is a attached to a series, it is likely a clue to the style and storylines that will be followed. If that is the case expect more fantasy-flavored weapons instead of guns among the Autobots, as well as a more "villan of the week" format of the Decepticons.

It's probably the continuation of the Movie line, of the NEST Alliance (like the continuation of the Rise of Cobra is Pursuit of Cobra by the GIJoe)
