I was doing an eBay search for the Super GoBot Defendor, as the basis for a "G1 Bulkhead" custom. What I was shocked to see was that in Defendor's decals were a pair with the code "S-7". Since the Super GoBots were supposed to be piloted vehicles (with the cockpit/cabin serving as the 'Bot's head), could this mean that A.) Sector 7 attempted to create "Transformers" based on technology from the then-frozen Megatron, B.) Defendor's "S-7" was neatly used as the basis for the S7 "mib" organization in the movie's plot, or C.) Neither one are connected, but this will spawn veeerrry interesting S7 custom projects surrounding the GoBot I need?

S7, it's obviously just a coincidence.

Let's say there's 26 possible characters where the S could and been and 10 for the 7.

We get 260, and there have been a lot of TF/robo toys with LETTER DIGIT marks on them. A probability of 1 in 260 is not that low.

Could very well be related, may have nothing to do with it at all. I saw alot of little tributes and likenesses in the movie. You never know.

Probably just a coincidence. It seems like a standard production number, like the RX-78-2 Gundam, or the F-15 Eagle.

In any case, Sector 7/S7 is much more derivative of Majestic 12/M12.
