I assume you are talking about the purple and blue things, right? If you take the red clear parts from Skyblast you can make that shape. I don't know what the re-paints are that produce that color.

Energon Skyblast came with a red one. It attaches to him as Jet Armor and is also his weapon. Maybe an Energon Weapon booster pack?

Fairly sure that Zuko's right, they were either a Botcon thing, or a Toy's R Us Japan special. Can't remember which though.

OTFCC '04 in Chicago. They were handed out by the Hasbro booth in exchange for filling out a lengthy survey.

It is a pretty cool add on. Fully assembled, the parts create a sort of energon staff making my Skyblast look like some sort of Autobot Mage or something. I love little gimmicks like these.
