g'day

im thinking of finally getting the beast wars comic "the gathering" im looking at it on ebay its 96 pages long, is that the version with the complete story.

im not sure as to how the gathering is broken up if it is at all are there many books to the gathering or is this 96 page copy the whole thing.

as well as that can anyone shed any light for me as to the acending comic books if they are broken up and can i buy a complete book etc

There are 4 comics of roughly 30 pages each (including adverts), and a Trade Paper Back of all four books, minus adverts, plus special features, not sure on page numbers.
TPB sells at roughly £12 english pounds, and all four comics would sell for around the same price.
Your choice what to get but to answer your question, yes the TPB does include all the story.

Certainly seems like the TPB to me RagingBull.

Each of the 4 comics that makes up the Gathering ran from 22-26 pages long so 96 would be dead on.

Each issues sold for about AU$7.50-$8 each, so if you are spending more than about AU$30 on the TPB, then you aren't getting a great deal. I managed to get the trade for about AU$25 about 9 months ago.

anyways i just bought the gathering 96 page version for aout $5 aussie

i want to hunt down the acending thats the next part to the gathering yes?

iv found issue 4 but what good is that when i dont have the other issues does anyone know an online comic store where i can possibly get all 4 at once but in seperate issues or the one complete book

TPB stands for Trade Paper Back. TPB usually contain all the comics in a certain run/ series, in this case "the Gathering" TPB will contain all 4 issues of "The Gathering"

If for some reason you don't get all 4 issues of "The gathering" in that 96 page booklet, I suggest trying here: http://www.kingscomics.com/catalog/.

They are far from the best in terms of service or price, but are Aussie based.

2 questions though

wats the difference between
TRANSFORMERS BEAST WARS ASCENDING #1 10
and
TRANSFORMERS BEAST WARS ASCENDING #1 20

1 is 10 and the other 20, whats that mean

also, i notice that the beasts wars acending they have there are in black and white, does this mean that every page of the comic book is in black and white?

1 in 10 and 1 in 20 are retail incentive covers, so if the shop you buy your comics from orders tonnes of copies they get the retail incentive covers, which are often line art, or different from the plain covers.

If the cover is black and white then the rest of the comic will be fine and in full colour. However if in the item description it says "manga version" then the whole comic is in black and white.
