Classics Jetfire: Where to Buy?

Postby DavidBeoulve » Sun Aug 05, 2007 1:15 pm

My eldest daughter and I are thinking we want the Classics Jetfire, a reversal of my previous bent. She loves her Optimus Prime:

Image
Okay, she loves her baby brother too, but if you look at his eyes, he was actually trying to get ahold of Prime there. It never worked; she doesn't even let any of her younger sisters hold her Prime - we have plenty of Knock-Offs to go around.

If someone can point us to where we might buy Jetfire online, you'd get the thanks of two people.

Edit:
Doh, think I found him. Hasbro's site is strange to navigate.

Snatch it up with the quickness, man, you won't find a better price than that.

Oh, and welcome to Seibertron.

Thank you, and yes - I didn't wait; we bought Movie Deluxe Jazz (the $10 one) and the $20 Classics Jetfire.

I've been making my way through G1, and Skyfire/Jetfire was actually one of the characters I'd be interested in getting. But I'm not sure if I wanna pull the trigger on it considering I'm planing on getting Deluxe Concept Bumblebee, Arcee, and Leader Brawl here in the near future.

ummm im confused. Are you saying you dont know if you want to buy g1 jetfire because you want to buy the others, or are you saying that you are considering buying classics jetfire but want to buy the others. I dont suppose it matters i say get jetfire either way...the others will be around longer.

30 USD? I feel for you guys. I guess its better than hasbro UK charging £19.99 . Amazon.co.uk also has him for the same price.

The great thing about play.com is the free postage! I felt i got a bargain with him, i almost payed £25 + p&p (which i forget how much that was) on ebay before deciding to look on play on the offchance.

This was only a couple of weeks ago i got him for £15 so its 'interesting' the way the price suddenly jumped up a few quid

Im tempted to get the G1 cartoon set off of Amazon UK- at £54 its a steal- I have the Chinese complete set (too bad I cant read the menus)- I have a region free player, so this is a steal in the US, esp since its not some ripped redone DVDs.

How much would the postage to the US set you back?

Must admit im tempted by it myself, especially after getting that classic episodes dvd, its around the same price on play.com too

Try Toysrus. I've seen a couple there but they get bought quick where I live. I've also seen other classics as well there. Also try ebay there's plenty there too. Walmart the one where I live already took off the classics several weeks ago.

£3 for air mail to the US :D I have Amazon Prime in the US, but I doubt its applied to Amazon UK. Who wants to pay the crazy scalper prices in the US for authentic G1 DVD sets- I could wait and they may release it- but then again why wait- the will probably charge more for all 4 seasons if they re-release here in the US. So its $108 or £54 total to get the official UK G1 seasons 1-4 DVDs to the US.

I just received him in the mail yesterday and man was I ever blown away. For $20 you couldn't get a better TF. Easy to transform and his bot mode is so kick ass with all of his weapons. If you don't have him, go get him!

Sorry I left off the essential component. MONEY. I simply can't drop ~$25 (with shipping) on Jetfire, $20 on Bumblebee and Arcee, and $40 on Leader Brawl (add tex where applicable) all in short order. Especially since Jetfire is a character I've just sorta started to like based on making my way through G1.

Though knowing me I'll probably talk myself into getting him anyway...

I can name you quite a few $20 Transformers that eat Jetfire alive :

-Movie Ironhide
-Movie Ratchet
-Movie Optimus Prime
-Movie Starscream
-Movie Blackout

Not even close. Starscream and Blackout have too many flaws to be worth $20. Ratchet ad Ironhide are good and I love them to death, but still do not compare to the awesomeness of Jetfire.

Motto: "Doing things my own way and never giving up!"
I know it sounds kinda crazy, but try Suncoast Moives. I went into one on a whim, and they had a couple, but they were 29.99. Costly, but cheaper than eBay.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

Buy from --B-- on eBay

Yeah I went to Suncoast last week and saw 2 Jetfires and 2 Primes for $29.99 each. But I passed I figured I would grab one from HTS but they sold out earlier in the week. After I went to Suncoast I went to another mall that has a small toy store in it. They had a bunch of Classic deluxes marked up to $18.99 each and Primes and Jetfires for $24.99 each. I finally just gave in and ordered one from Amazon right now rather than tracking it down and price hunting any longer.

jetfire...

Postby jacksonspade » Wed Aug 08, 2007 11:58 pm

I went to the Mall of America and found Jetfire sitting out on top of a shelf and right under it was the Deluxe Arcee, not a bad find.

If you prefer oversize minicons that barely transform, that's your thing. I prefer more complex Transformers that actually have detailing and don't wear funky helmets. Jetfire's transformation is not even worthy of the scout class.
