k. let me just throw this out there.

people dont need this. sure we dont need any transforming robot toys, but thats not my point. some collectors need an updated galvatron. some need an updated devastator. but almost nobody needs a dinobot combiner since it never existed in the first place. because of that the market for this thing might be narrowed. and someone else has already beaten them to the punch and has an amazing looking toy on the way.

theyre late to a party that has no venue. whats next? a newer throttlebot combiner?

Well, people have wanted a Dinobot combiner since the 80s, to be fair. So plenty of people definitely "need" it.

for torso mode, it looks like the chest expands. and the head is just grims head with bits attached to it ala energon prime. not bad. it appears like not much was sacrificed for the combining aspect.

this looks awesome.have the sludge on order and if the pics of swoop,snarl and grimms are anything to go by this will be game,set and match for me.not really bothered about wether its "classics" or "mp" scale...or even somewhere in between...just want it on my shelf NOW

Those new pictures are very impressive! And I think they win some people over with the translucent plastic on the figure - like the G1 figures.

Not so sure on the figures themselves (the ridiculously chunky legs and the...questionable gestalt foot storage are turnoffs) but those colours and the clear/chrome combo is to die for.

I just realized, they seem to be using lots of different colours for the various gold bits. I love all the colours but I hope they decide on 1 shade of gold- it looks a tad disjointed at present. That copper in the head is probably my favourite- it's so different but it works so well.

looking now... yeah he has some hella thick legs. and after playing around with FP's columpio, i got spoiled with that segmented neck. so it sucks to see another 3P sludge without it.
