Back in the day, I tried to make a pack and gun out of a carwash nozzle and pump, but it neve quite worked.

I had similar problems with my take on Jake Rockwell's "Fireforce" and "Hornet", as well as Herc Armstrong's "Grappling Arm."

You see, as a child, I had the toy versions of the backpack, trap and PKE meter, so I didn't have to make stuff. Granted, they looked nothing like the film or the cartoon versions, but such is life.

I didn't really own many toys, just some TFs and SWs, so I had to make stuff, which was fun at the time. (I did not have a butler either.)

"Fireforce" was sort of a slighshot in a tube that was suppossed to be shoulder mounted, but I had to hold it to make it work (which it rarely did). The "Grappling Arm" was part Erector set, part fishing rod. You had to whip your arm to "fire" the hook, but you could reel it back in.

"Hornet"... well, I never finished that one, but I made the frame for it out of wood, but the blades didn't work right.

Anyways, I remember the GB toys, I just didn't have any. I thought the "eyes popping out" stuff was lame. The guns looked okay though. I don't remember the PKE meter, but that'd make for a cool little replica these days. Do they make one?

I'm not sure if a replica PKE meter is still available. The one I had as a child came with the Proton Pack and was neither film nor cartoon accurate. It was odd. And brightly coloured.

You should invest your family fortune into making replicas.

I'd rather have a real one.

Let me know when you finish making it, I'll take one.

So... best ghost for a new movie/show?

I always thought the pumpkin ghost Samhaim was cool.

It should be either Samhain or Boogeyman. Those were the two best villians from the show.

I forgot about the Boogeyman, he was pretty cool too. Good call. I guess I don't really remember anyone else from the cartoon.

Has anyone else seen this version:
