If it were scotch, that ambiguous amount would be called a dram.

You should try the Botonist gin from Islay Island. Quite excellent mixed or by itself.

Laphroaig is my whisky of choice, but I had a glass of 14 year old Oban not to long ago... ;)^

If we're talking JD, single barrel all day, but when it comes to american whisky I prefer Baton Rouge's own, OMFW.

I have a really excellent Japanese whisky recently: Suntory Toki, highly recommended.

I'm also on a stout and porter beer only rule for the winter.

Wines are dictated by the meal, obvs.
