I think you getting Bumblebee's cartonn look mixed up with his toy look. The toon and the toy had 2 different heads. And the only thing between Goldbug and Bumblebee that looked simular was their car modes. Also Goldbug was par of a sub-group called the Throttlebots.

There are Great pictures of these at http://www.tfsource.com
And I highly recommend them for all the latest Japanese and other Transformers releases. They have great service, prices, and take great care in packing their items for shipping.
These pictures are from their, Curt's, personal collection.
Here is a link to his site with his collection pics.

There are also pics of many more very rare pieces.

In terms of my rare 3, people have seen Alt. Camshaft and BT Clear Mirage on the web. As for my Jazz, he looks very similar to the G1 version without the stickers.

Well, I think my rarest Tf is a KO Fortress Maximus- it is a head smaller than Overlord - which is my second rarest transformer.

I realized that I have forgotten to mention one of my rare figures...Alt. Silverstreak. You are probably wondering why I put him as rare. My figure has the steering wheel on the right-hand side rather than the left-hand. I also added an Alt. Swerve to my collection.

Before my father gave away all my toys to the neighbor's kids while I was away, I had a wonderful collection. Now my pieces arn't so rare. But if I had to say which is the rarist of my collection, it would probably be my G1 Metroplex, which has everything included except 1 small gun. Other than that, I am buying a lot of the recent reissues, like the encore series and God Ginrai, Star Convoy and Hybrid Convoy. I have a Dai Atlas KO which I am very proud to own. That might be more rare than my G1 Metroplex. I don't know.

I don't even want it anymore, but I have a Robots In Disguise Skybite from way back in 2001. I guess that's considered rare cuz I don't see it on ebay much these days.

I started my collection start of the Energon series, and since i do not collect any G1 stuff, i really do not have any figure that is rare to anyone. I just received my Takara GF Starscream recently, and i've waited months for the the right one on EBay. To me, guess dat's the rarest.

I would have to say the Pretender Monster combiner team was rare for me. It took me a long time to get all 6 of them 100% complete w/out having to piece them together. Given the price tag for the set at once I probably made good by buying them individually averaging about $55-60 a piece.

Now if we were talking rarest accessories then hands down it would be G1 Quake's tank turret. It took me almost two years to find one even on ebay.
