I disagree. I've seen many of them in the store, and they just look so cheap compared to the first 20th Prime. Weird color scheme (blue gun, what were they thinking?), complete lack of chrome (which I suppose matches the cartoon, but doesn't look as good), and the voices from the electronic base don't even sound like Prime. Aren't his eyes painted too, instead of the transparent-blue of the original?

I dunno, you're free to have your own opinion of course, but I strongly disagree with it. :P But then, I don't like the USA MP Starscream either, because he's too white instead of grey.

I agree. As far as colors go, there's a difference between what's animation-accurate, and what looks the best on a figure. Without straying too far - obviously, it they'd painted Prime green then there'd be a problem - we shouldn't be 100% beholden to the colors of the cartoon. The darker red and silver chrome just look better than the orange and dull grey. Masterpiece Megatron is another example - his colors are not, in fact, accurate. Megatron was white in the cartoon, sometimes gray-white. Masterpiece Megatron is silver. Now just picture your MP Megs in white, rather than silver.

That's the trailer I want, who is the actual manufacturer? If you don't mind my asking how much and where did you get it?

Stick with the Prime you have, and score a set of extended smoke staks and a black gun from Ebay.

I have 2 of the 20th ANN versions, one for display posing and one boxed. I thing this particular packaging will be the most sought after in the future.

Normaly the japanesse import box wins in the collectable field, but I think the commerarative nature of the box will itself will win over the black MP style box.

Time will tell on this one :-?

I just ordered at set of long smoke stacks last night from Ages 3 and Up. I've never done business with them, so hopefully everthing will go smoothly.

blue gun was a change, but I think a decent one for Hasbro marketing wise. And, I for one like it. If you don't like uit paint it. All the eyses are painted. Hasbro wouldn't strip out a piping. the issue is the mouthplate's movement capabilites. The base sounds they said had to be done as Cullen was busy with el movie.

All of the other versions of 20th/MP Prime had eyes which were reflective blue material, creating the illusion of glass eyes. DVD Prime's are dull light blue, which doesn't look as good to me. That, the lack of chrome, and the blue gun were cost-cutting measures, since they didn't have to use black plastic if they could get away with blue.

Is that what they said about the voice? I suspect it was more of a cost-cutting measure as well.

They just should've done it the same as the original, instead of taking a step down from it.

20th Anni Prime - chrome
DVD Prime - grey plastic

For display, 20th Anni Prime looks better.
For transforming back and forth, DVD Prime is better. No worries about chrome wear - there is none.
