I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually like Blast Off as a fighter plane. First, because it fits with the rest of the team of combat vehicles, and second, because he was actually MADE FROM a plane in the original cartoon, so it just makes more sense than suddenly turning into a shuttle.

That being said, I now have both the plane and shuttle versions, with the intent being to turn shuttle BO into an original character on an original combiner.

Though I like him better as a plane, and I don't even like the shuttle mold much as BO at all generally, I LOVE the head. Plane BO has a terrible head.

My intent was to swap their heads when shuttle BO came in, but then I found out that shuttle BO's neck ball joint is much smaller than plane BO's.

Is there any way to easily swap their heads with a little kitbashing which wouldn't risk ruining either or both figures? I really want the accurate head on plane BO, but not sure how to achieve it...

Any ideas?

Get a resin-casting kit and make a copy of the proper Blast Off's head with it, then modify the copy to go on the Slingshot-redeco Blast Off's neck. And then recoup the investment by selling the shuttle Blast Off to somebody who actually wants it.
