No QC issue with mine, but I only transformed him once, posed him, and set him on one of my display shelves. I think he's a poorly designed and uninspired figure but has a great head sculpt, maybe the coolest mechtech weapon, and, hey, it's SOUNDWAVE! He was worth $30 to me.

mines perfect i personally love his robot form the only issue really is his back pack hangs too low.

paint apps well you know he has next to none the silver head looks a bit odd but the sculpt makes up for it his joints are tight and his gun is cool

he was the last transformer i bought and that was about 2 month back.

I have him and have no QC issues, I feel that the HA SW is way better thought.

Also the DLX SW looks cartoony.. as in the overall proportions.

You mean HA Soundwave looks cartoony, I assume? He's got a GIANT upper body and tiiiny little legs, while the Deluxe is normally proportioned.

Personally, I can't stand the HA's design, it's so awkward... I love the deluxe though. Too bad I'll never see either of them for a reasonable price.

Haven't had any QC issues on mine. Overall, he's a pretty nice figure, and as mentioned previously, he has one of the few mech tech weapons that are actually cool.

On the down side, though, he's small. I mean REALLY small. Standing him next to say, ROTF Sideways you see how absolutely tiny Soundwaves chest and torso are in comparison. He doesn't scale well at all unless you put him next to say, DOTM Voyager Megs.

Hey, you probably already know, but that kibble sticking out on the upper part of his lower legs pegs in. It will stay in place if you push his lower legs forward against his double jointed knee.

It's strange how small he is. I don't understand that design choice. When he's in car mode he looks and feels nearly hollow because there's not much robot to him! His gun is great. What would have been even cooler was if his mechtech weapon was some kind of device that turned into Lazerbeak! You know, push the trigger and his head and wings pop out and unfold. That would have been really something.

Actually, I didn't know that! It looks much better now.

Thanks! :D

No problem! I noticed from most pictures online a lot of folks miss that. It's kind of like how a lot of people miss how RotF leader Prime's ankle wheels fold back and the panels on his calves pop out. It doesn't help when the box photos never have the figures transformed correctly!
