Loose cannon on Omega Supreme?

So I just got my siege Omega Supreme, but I've noticed his head cannon is loose. As in it won't stay all the way up in robot mode.

It usually sits within a few degrees of parallel to the ground.

I tried disassembling his head to see what was wrong with his weaponized topknot, but only got as far as taking out the two screws. I couldn't figure out what was keeping the pieces of his head together.

The best I can figure, it looks like friction is supposed to hold his cranial wiener in place, so I just need to coat some piece somewhere in clear nail polish or something, but I can't get in to put it on, or even tell which piece needs it.

I suppose it's possible that there's supposed to be some kind of mechanism that should click his scalp stick into place, but it's just broken on mine.

Can anyone tell me how to get into his head without breaking anything? Or at least confirm that it's supposed to be friction or ratcheting that holds his personal interpretation of fictional events in place?
