So I am wondering what the fandom thinks about X-Transbots Apollyon in a Marvel comics aesthetic? I can see it being a good use of repaint, and if they did do it, I recommend they produce some new accessories to coincide with a repaint release. That would be an awesome purchase, especially if they went back to the marvel comics and plucked out some really awesome accessories to replace those that Apollyon has. I can even see a repaint of the Megatron Mind control helmet in Black and reds, with some yellows to be a mind control helmet for Nemesis Prime MP-10 repaint.. LOL!

Well I have done my best at putting together a Digibash that gives us an idea of how the Bot would look. One thing I think that would be necessary is a different paint scheme around the eyes, and a wider eye look with yellow instead of the traditional red. In addition the helmet would be molded and set in black like the rest of the figure. Additional paint apps that change the waist area to reds, and the control panels on his stomach should be silver, and a blue section to round out the color changes. In addition the image you see below shows how the gun from the comics should look in gold and replace the "pistol of Betrayal" that comes with the original Movie prop version..






So anyhow, here are the digibash images, let me know what you guys think! I mean they did it with Grimlock, and Hegemon B, why not the best Megatron Representation out there, Apollyon!

Hmmm.. You may be right, they do seem to be recently more concentrated on their Mini-bot program, and the 3rd season bots, in which in particular Abaddon is highly anticipated given the awesomeness I got with my Apollyon 2nd Batch. I just wondered if there was a need for it, given how many other companies including Takara Tomy have gotten into at least once giving up a Marvel Style repaint shot out to those fans, tho I suspect that market would be much larger in the UK, as they had some of the most famous runs with the Marvel Comics Transformers over there..

Thanks Necro! I love doing digibashes, sometimes it's nice to see an idea in format. But yea, I wouldn't personally purchase a Marvel style Apollyon Repaint (only because I don't have the space for a marvel comics display of MP styled figures). However, I do think that there may be a section of the buying public world wide who may want such a figure. I mean I do have some friends I converse with in the UK my birth place, who absolutely have a separate section of their collection devoted to the Third Party and Official Comic repaint versions of Masterpiece and Hegemon box set, etc... Marvel comics styled Transformers. They would absolutely love an Apollyon Styled like Marvel's Megatron was from the comics, if nothing else then to pose it next to a classic Megatron transformers 80s UK comic cover. I can't blame them, I am seriously, even with out the space, seriously considering purchasing the Hegemon and Optimus Box set that is styled like a classic marvel comic.. If nothing else, that comic aesthetic is pretty cool. The figures aren't masterpiece, but I can now see the appeal those who collect Classics have, they aren't masterpiece, but look really good, and could be fun to mess around with..(incidentally, that last statement reminds me of how I choose women I want to go home with from the club LMAO!)
