Transformers Comic artist Frank Springer dead at 79

Springer is known to Transformers fans as the artist behind the first four issues of the <a href="http://www.seibertron.com/comics/list.php?f_series=1">Marvel Comics series</a> and <a href="http://www.seibertron.com/comics/list.php?f_series=8">the Headmasters mini-series</a>.

I remember it as if was just yesterday when I purchased issue #1. It was U.S. 75 cents(quite expensive back then and bi-monthly. Who would have thought it was but a start of something BIG!

Though his art style pales in comparison to todays standards but back then.............. :sad:
