Solo Bumblebee? Too bad it doesn't take place in the late 60's- early 70's era because the VW would be more into in it's popular place in time. 1987? No one wanted to drive that car back then, it was old and the VW cabriolet or the Honda Civic hatch was popular among girls at that time. But still, can't wait.
