Do you consider collecting TFs nerdy??

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

Geara Doga, think of the spirit of this thread and read what Blackout said again, it was funny man. And he said he was Just kidding, common have a laugh.

........................

My father once gave me a hard time about being a hard core transformer nerd, but he had a huge collection of toy trucks. Then my father inlaw gave me the same poke of fun about my TF's too. But he had and insane collection of toy tractors. Once I pointed this out to them they agreed we were all nerdy of some sorts.

So. If Being a TF nut makes me a Geek or nerd, then so be it. I'm a proud nerd and ain't ashamed of it. 8)

Not technically "Nerdy" by any definition I found, but if someone was to call me a Nerd for collecting Transformers I could really care less.

Collecting TF is as nerdy as collecting baseball cards, star wars toys, Sports figures etc. And being nerdy is cool nowadays.

Now Geeky, Thats what the girls don't like. Geeks. Like the ones who cry if the packaging isnt "mint". The ones who spout TF or Star Wars quotes all the time. If TF is you're whole life and nothing matters more, than you are a geek.

Sports fans have a simililar group they're called "jocks". They are unintelligent brutes.

nerdy or not, adult or kids, there's nothing wrong with collecting TF's. better buy masterpiece megatron than buy a real gun for your kid (or urself). TF's toy is fun, but gun can screwed someone's life.

well, i consider it a hobbie or something. maybe an addiction for people that absolutely love robots, machines, or other mecha, like Voltron, Robotech, and Patlabor (that's just random)

I do consider it a little geeky, but then again I happen to like geeky. I'm also into horror masks and props, comics, Star Wars, LOTR and other assorted stuff, so I'm knee-deep in geekitude. I don't mind the label to an extent. It's almost something to be proud of, elite in a way. I always like finding others like me too. Like when you're hunting for something and there's someone next to you in the aisle that's obviously looking for the same thing and you strike up a conversation. Ungeeks (Unnerds?) don't get to experience that.

I say it's the ultimate form of Geekiness, as I'm proud to be a geek/nerd.

My wife says Im a complete tard for buying TF's. My collection is rather meager, I could list all of them and not really take up space:

20th Prime
Movie G1 Starscream
Movie G1 Ratchet
Movie Dreadwing
Movie Leaderclass Prime
Legends Bumblebee, Jazz and Megatron
Beast Wars Optimal Optimus Original and KO
Lio Convoy KO
Constructicons G2 KO
Beast Machines Megatron
Alternators Rollbar, Tracks, Mirage.
Classics Prime, Magnus, Skywarp, Bumblebee
Legends Cybertron Galvatron, Megatron, Optimus and Jetfire
TRU Commemerative Reissue Grapple
On order: Evolution of a Hero BB 2 pack.

Yeah, now that I write it out it seems smaller. Gotta work on that.
