How big would the Golden Disks be in real life?

I don't mean human scale like that Matrix replica. I mean actual BW bot size. I say at least 7-8 feet in diameter.

And while we're on the subject, refresh my memory, what was on them?

Judging by BW Megatron's size in relation to them, and his size in relation to the proto-humans with the coconut hard-hats, I'd say no more than 2-3 feet across. Remember the BW Maximals and Predacons are far smaller than their G1 Autobot and Decepticon counterparts.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

The original Golden Disk is supposed to be the Golden Record sent on the Voyager probe, isn't it? (Albeit modified by G1 Megs to contain a coded message and details of an Energon stash.)

If that's true, it should be 12 inches in diameter (source). The disks as they were shown in the series seemed bigger, though - the 2-3 feet estimate seems about right.

I'd have to agree with the 2-3 feet in diameter estimates that have been given thus far, seeing as the Beast Wars Bot and Cons were more or less around the 8 feet tall mark.

The disc was large, being about the same size as Dinobot's upper body.

I don't see them being that big. According to the Beast Wars video game TM Megatron was 3.2 meters tall, or 10.5 feet. They disk didn't seem more than a foot tall to me.

If it matters the TM Megatron toy is 1/23 scale. Assuming the Iacon One disks were the same scale, we can figure out their size. Anyone know how big those toys were?

LP discs are 12". They could be made bigger, but there's no point. Record players aren't built to play albums larger than standard size.
