Is it already over???
The TRU's in my area have already broken down their movie endcaps and displays and moved the toys back into the obscurity of dusty shelves.
No more movie commercials running on the tube.
No more buzz about the film.
You blink and it's over, it all goes buy so fast. Anyone else feel a little bummed that it's over?

Yeah it's weird. It's still July, and it released in the US on the 3rd. But the mainstream hype is noticeably fizzing out.

Well, I think to be fair most film hype starts to die down after a month, something else will take its place. If not that, it could be due to all of the big films generally this summer.

True. Harry Potter has been TF's biggest competition at the theatres.

Odd. Displays are still up and the advertisements are still on TV.
Guess my neck of the woods still wants to milk it dry.

I've been a G1 TF fan since the 80s and the hype never left me since. I'm already looking forward to the sequel. Basically, it doesn't really matter to me if people don't talk about it anymore.

jeez, im happy. Cuz it'll still be a buzz in the TF communities. And thats all I can possibly care about. With the whole craze "dying down", that makes me HAPPY!!!!
Cuz then all the kids who were crazy about it, won't be crazy anymore. Meaning MORE TOYS FOR ME TO BUY. More toys that will ACTUALLY be on the SHELVES. Instead of it being completely all the time. : (

Monthly resets of aisles are pretty common... it could also have something to do with the fact they're having trouble keeping enough product in stock for a major end cap... no retailer wants to have a big display at the front of their store empty.

True, but we're coming up on entire store resets in the next two weeks. Wal-Mart and Target both. I called both local Targets and they said for sure they'll be finished with their resets by the 12th of August, starting on the 5th.
And yes, they are sitting on stock so they have plenty to fill the shelves for the resets. (Target is. Wal-Mart, no.)
