Hope this is not a duplicate, but looks like Transformers passed $300 million in the United States on friday. Once international numbers are updated, we should be over $600 million worldwide.

Sadly, between that & Fisher Price's recall earlier for toys having too much lead paint in them, It's going to be hell trying to find anything Transformers this christmas.

It's 36th in the top grossing films worldwide, probably wont get much higher than that.
The sequel probably will though.

$600 million is nothing to sneeze at, the film has quadrupled it's budget, and still has the DVD sales, the only films that are beating it at this point are sequels.

You know, that's assuming that the people who saw the first one want to see the next one. I've heard a lot of people say they didn't think it was very good. I doubt they'll see the next one. I have noticed is everyone qualifying their comments with "for a non-sequel". But, if these people don't come back, then ...
