Final day of the Montreal Comiccon 2024.
This was the most expensive day of all.
Last Friday night, I ordered from Amazon the DVD boxset of the complete The Incredible Hulk series so that it was delivered last night. And today, I got it signed by Lou Ferrigno himself! I even paid for the picture. That was awesome to meet one of my childhood hero!
Then, a Miku figure that was reasonably priced.
Finally, some more TF scraps an a Spychanger for cheap, plus a brand new Legacy Blitzwing that I've been eying since last Friday. I was ready to finally pay the 65$CAN (no tax!), but unfortunately, I only had 3 20$CAN bills in my wallet.
"Oh, that's too ba..."
F it, sold.
So I got the Leader Blitzwing for barely a few bucks more expensive than a full priced voyager. Nice.
I'll be able to experience first hand how bad it is. I'll be enjoying all of its warts.

These 3 are all nice, Sabr. Out of the 7 you grabbed, these are the ones i don't have.
Especially that Arcee.
I have been eyeballing that thing forever trying to find a decent price. Every time i get one in my sights, i get laid off.

The Hartman brothers (Jon and Karl) and Transformerland (from whom I got Tigatron) had some really good deals. The Hartmans were really trying to clear out their stock of old BotCon stuff. They were even selling MISB Shokaracts for 400.triKlops wrote:Sabrblade wrote:My haul from BotCon 2024:

Sandstorm was the only one that was hard to get, because the Hartmans sold out of theirs and I had to get mine from a Japanese vendor selling tons of rare Japanese G1, Japanese BW, Japanese UT, and Brave toys.

Whoa, those are incredible prices. I'm kicking myself for passing on a Predicus set for $700 a few weeks ago on Mandarake. Someone got a good deal.

Yeah, that was a heck of a deal you got. Mandarake had been selling them for 70,000JPY (about $435), but the recent one, which seems to have been delisted, was like 113,000JPY.

Next haul, haven't had a chance to take pictures, might take some in the morning and add them in.
First off, I knew I was forgetting some things last time. From Amazon I got the second set of Windsweeper and Breakdown, I posted it in the Legacy section and forgot to post it here. And at Walmart I picked up Legacy Chromia. I wasn't going to pay full price for her and Deluxes are only $20 there right now so good enough! She was actually sitting on the floor next to my desk when I posted.
OK, actual new stuff:
eBay:
MP-38+ Burning Convoy - Yep, my third Burning Convoy, but still feel like I need a Robot Masters version now. They're ridiculously priced on eBay and most places, so hopefully Mandarake gets one in, they're usually only $20-ish there.
Mandarake:
Fan Book 2023 Optimus Prime (Red Clear version) - Yep, another clear red Prime, using the Core mold. Really only wanted him because I have all the other versions of this mold so may as well, it just happened to be clear red plastic. But now that I've started this journey I need to figure out what other clear red Primes and Primals I need. Botcon Primal Prime comes to mind, Fire Convoy, this really has become quite the rabbit hole. (I have the 2014 Lost Age EZ Convoy.)
Black Knight Optimus Prime - Not a great mold, but still a very cool looking figure! Plus they're super cheap in Japan now. Both of these together were under $60 with shipping.
AmiAmi :
Studio Series ROTB Nightbird - Never saw one in stores and she was only $16, just added her to my existing June shipment and she basically tagged along for free.
Earthspark Bonecruncher - Same as above, he was $10.
Hasbro Pulse:
Comic Edition Shockwave - I was surprised to find there isn't a clear window in the box, it's just an open cutout when you open the door.
That's... it?

I was disappointed by the lack of plastic on this as well.
We are so close to getting back to that great bookbox feel from Universe and Transformers Collection.
I can vouch that it is included in more of the recent Joe releases but i am assuming the TFs were too far down the pipeline to be corrected.
Hopefully the future rounds of these releases have the window.

Spectacular haul today!
First from Amazon, I got the final member of the ROTB "few steps changer" Mirage. He's not perfect, but he does the job.
From Marshall's, for once that I'm buying a ES toy (because 20$CAN), that Bee just HAD to have a missing wheel.
FFS.
I'll have to return it. All that wasted time...

Today I went to my local geek store and go myself a 100% complete, and in great condition, a G1 Landfill for the price of a regular voyager!
And from eBay, another incomplete G1 Straffe and a Powerdasher Rollbar. That one will be customised too. Stay tuned for these.

I finally got my bugs!
Also, as usual, Prime Day wasn't really worth it so all I got was Infernac Shards.

New stuff, starting off with something good!
Mandarake:
Finally scored a long sought after grail item! Galaxy Force Master Galvatron! (Still need a Megatron, but I like Galvatron more anyway)
Second, finally got a ROTB Scourge having never seen him in stores and him being super rare at MSRP online. It's open, but was only $60 shipped so no complaints here! I came really close to dropping $80 on one on Amazon earlier that week so I'm glad I waited.
Third I got a Noah Diaz, same story as Scourge, sold out fast online and never saw him in stores. Ended up paying about $20 shipped which is a fine price compared to what he goes for on eBay. He's still sealed in the package.
Next, Prime Day deals:
Yolopark Mini Optimus Prime and Megatron 2 pack
Jurassic Park Colab 2
Finally, box of junk from eBay:
So I had a couple reasons to buy this. First off my Silverbolt crumbled around the bird neck so I've been hunting for a replacement for a while. This one doesn't have the eagle head or accessories, but I still have mine. As long as this one doesn't crumble I might have a Magnaboss again! Second reason I got this is I don't have Fox Kids Transmetals Waspinator (who I was going to use as Buzzsaw) and from the pictures I thought it was more complete than it was and the chrome was nicer than it was, but unfortunately the chrome is a little rough and he's missing one insect leg, both rear wings and his gun (which I knew going in and was fine with). The rest of figures are also incomplete, but I have all of them. Oddly, despite all missing parts they have very stiff joints, like the kid that had them idea of play was to lose parts and never touch them again.

I went to the flea market today and I got quite the score!
Universe Ultra Powerglide, no gun, no missile, but otherwise unbroken, for just 5$CAN!
And the best of all, Animated Blurr, 100% complete and in pristine condition for.... 4$CAN!
On my way back I went to some random store and I found a PuP Lotte. 5$CAN more that what I'd pay for my Amazon preorder, but I rather have Lotte NOW. So I cancelled my Amazon preorder and got that one instead.
My LWA trio is now complete!

From ebay, I got the OG G2 Roadpig. He's nice, despite the floppy knees (unless I'm doing something wrong.)
And from Amazon Dot Com (USA), I got that silly animatronic ROTB Primal! It was on sale at below 39$US plus taxes and cheap shipping. The overall price for this here Canadian was cheaper than a normal priced leader WITHOUT taxes!

Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

Which parts, exactly, are the floppiest? I ask because that mold doesn't exactly have the most identifiable knees, since the middle of the legs bend forward while the parts that bends backward like a knee would are more closer to where one would consider the ankles to be.-Kanrabat- wrote:From ebay, I got the OG G2 Roadpig.
