I dont remember any of my original Beasties figures having twist ties, but I only ever got a handful of the smaller ones. Universe had them, and so did Armada, but neither lines had the twist ties done up too tight.

Some of the ones on the Classics Minicons and movie figures are twisted so tightly, that I actually need to use pliers on them, or I have to get out the full size scissors to just cut through them.

I'm really disliking them hiding the twist ties away, and bending them, to make them harder to get into. :-x

Rage inducing is right. If I find it a struggle, how's a kid going to find it? There's got to be a better way. And no, I've never seen empty TF boxes sitting on shelves. I suppose that depends on where you live.

In regards to the theft issue, there are still toys that are sold loose. At any rate, I at least wish they'd put a limit on the amount of twisties used per toy. If you can cut through more than 4 twisties in a store, and pocket the toy without arousing suspicion, you're really wasting your talents.

I've got those clear twisty tie strewn around my computer desk as we speak. I had to start on opening Leader Brawl, eat dinner, then finish opening him because of those twisty ties, it took that long.

But better these than have figures damaged in shipping.

I'd guess the Titaniums have more because they are much heavier.

Twisties do suck...especially those UNDER everything, the ones you DONT see and almost destroy your figure before you realize it there!!!

You know what the CRAZIEST part of the twisties mythos is??? There are actual twisty people that put them on in the factories!!! I'd like to "twist" something on those poor souls.

They put so many ties on the TF's nowadays, I could save all of them up, melt them down and mold my own Transformer.

I'm pretty sure that if there's someone who's job is to apply twisties all day, would gladly kill themselves.

terrible.

So what figure has the MOST twisty-ties on it?

When i think back to it, i'd have to say either armada/energon unicron or energon omega supreme/omega sentinel.

i try to keep my boxes as case-fresh/mint as possible; and so when i decide to open one, i take great care to not damage anything. it took me like 30 minutes to undo all of the twistyties for omega sentinel :/

I must say that i do love takara's method of plastic-sandwiching them into place though.

Cybertron Primus had more than I care to remember.

Some of the Deluxe Classics had far too many as well.

Cricket? Nobody understands cricket. You gotta know what a
crumpet is to understand cricket.

*Sigh* I'll get my coat...

It's funny, in Canada, crumpets are literally called 'English Muffins". When I finally visited England, I was psyched to try a crumpet, only to find out I've been eating them for years...

Maybe Hasbro is making sure buyers can readily differentiate MISB toys from MIB toys.
