up till this day what makes the G1 figures both characters in the cartoon and toy lines so lovable and memorable. is it because their design and overall personalities? do you think as the new series begin to evolve, but none of them is close or comparable to the G1 characters that we loved and always cherish as when we were children.

You should give a post some room to breath and grow! Your first two posts are only about 30 minutes apart.

That being said, G1 is special to many of us here becase we grew up with the toys and characters.

As I type this, I am in fact sitting at my computer desk with some of my fave reissues in front of me.

I think G1 is so memorable because of the characters associated with each toy. Who can forget Jazz's love of human culture? Track's vanity? Red Alert's paranoia?

I know I can't. G1 was more than a 30 minute toy advert each day. The characters were numerous, and all of them had personality. You knew each one. Not like today, where Hasbro think the only the kids are gonna be able to tell the difference between each character is to give them a ridiculously strong accent.

With the toys, it's that Microman and Diaclone just had real personality, they had a nice "Dark and Shiny" look shared by the cartoon and comics at times. Most people think they're **** because they lack articulation, and that does bother me, but they're still lovely pieces.

They're just quirky and unique. Modern TFs are "better", but a little more basatardised to fit with their animation/comic models.
