One forgotten element of G1 is the special effects weapons. I remember as a kid I read the tech specs amazed at all the atomizers, crystalizers, disintegrators, etc. I remember a few special effect type weapons (Blasters Electro Scrambler, Starscreams Null Ray, and Tracks blackout Gun) even made it to the cartoon. Sadly, with the exception of the null ray, this G1 element seems mostly forgotten. Does anyone else remember the crazy special effects weapons of g1?

Winch from Jazz' wrist?
Bosch Electric Cutter/Grinder from Hot Rod's wrist?

A lot of the early G1 chars had cool powers rather than gimmicks for the toys. I miss that. Though some of the G1 toy gimmicks were cool, like the Triplechangers and Headmasters...

How come Hasbro didn't include the sword thing in the Leader Prime toy?

It would have been much easier to make than the gun. And collectors can better relate it to the movie.
