Me too. Robotech really was a great series. Macross too. However, I DO believe that the success of Trasformers will inspire plenty of robot films in the near future. Robotech will ride TF's coattails.

Personally I cant stand Robotech, thats why I always watched the ADV version. I just hope it turns out good.

It will be best if they fix the time period in the 1980s or 1990s. And not make some super hitech-unrecognizable new robots that transforms into F-22 or F-99 something planes.
TF can take on these insecti-face complicated robot forms. Because they are aliens. We can pretty much conjure up anything and accept anything with aliens
But Robotech Battroids are Earth machines and technology.
