Darker than Black and Nogizaka Haruka have both just started their second seasons. So it's happy happy squee time for me.

I've not watched DtB, but I'm certainly enjoying more of Nogizaka-san.
This Fall season's been pretty darn good, lots of good shows are back from what I can tell. I just wish there were some mech shows in it. I'm a tad nervous though that we haven't seen any more Zero no Tsukaima this year, I was disappointed in the last season's ending.
Anyone watching Nyankoi?

I've been watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. No, I haven't seen Endless Eight yet. Yes, I do plan to, despite knowing what it entails.
I actually laughed out loud near the end of Remote Island Syndrome, and Haruhi and Koizumi PERFECTLY mimic the animations of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth from the Ace Attorney series. I definitely wouldn't have caught that if I wasn't into Ace Attorney, but I am, and it was hilarious.

So... What's everybody watching these days?
The current season of shows is pretty decent. Loving Durarara and Hanamaru Kindergarten, the new Cobra series looks pretty good too.
Then again there's also Omamori Himari, which honestly wasn't very good at all.
But what are you guys up to?

Currently, I am taking a hiatus from my anime series to get some of my non-anime cartoons and live-action shows watched. Right now, I am in the "Outer Limits" arena. I do have two new videos posted on my youtube account (see sig link) for Digimon Frontier.

At the moment I'm watching... nothing. I am angry at myself for it too, but I just haven't been able to motivate myself. -_-; I've gotten too involved with Seiken Densetsu 3...

I was looking for this thread manually, my internet connection fails and here it is back up?
Awkward.
Well I wanted to post toi titbits of info.
1. The German release for Hellsing Ultimate OVA 5 is in absolute limbo and keeps getting pushed back to the extent that it now has no release date and might have to be re-licensed, the F**K?!
2. Gantz! is getting two live action movies which are supposed to start 2011, see here for link. This is pretty awesome and I can't wait to see what the movies will end up looking and if it stays faithful to at least the anime version. And holly hell there's a teaser and the room looks pretty accurate!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEaswd_Y ... r_embedded
Can't wait
Lol and I'm sure that if it's successful it'll get a half-hearted and inferior Hollywood remake 2 years later.

I just finished watching Sonic the hedgehog OVA and am f**king confused as to WTF just happened?
It's kinda like watching 4-5 different animes at the same time with the weirdest character imaginable.
But the coolest thing was how it ended and Metal Sonic died, the scene looked exactly the same as the end of Anakin in Star Wars Episode 3, just you know a couple of years older than that movie.

It's strange, I can sit and hold conversations for hours working out all the ins and outs of the mess that is the Macross/robotech timelines, the multiverses of star trek are nothing to me, and understand almost everything regarding the Legion of Super-Heroes despite DC's ability to screw them over with every crisis. And yet I find myself baffled by the Sonic universe. What is canon, what is only comic/shows/whatever. As far a sonic goes if it's not in one of the games it's lost on me.

Might should watch more of that one myself, though I've got to say I had trouble getting past some of how silly it was. Maybe I'm just poopy though.
You guys should seriously watch Durarara. Its good stuff, plus the opening is catchy.

In all honesty, between work (swamped with the Olympics started soon), being chair of the local Anime convention and all the other stuff on my plate right now, I need something silly to watch. So it fits.

-Nanoha
-Dragon Ball Kai

I'm impressed with how FMA has gone. I really look forward to each episode every week, much unlike the first series. I still don't know why I watched that one through... really hated the first series, but the new one's just great. Much more exciting to me.

Since it's the last thing I watched, I'll post my thoughts on DTB2.
In short, the second season of Darker than Black was a complete disaster.
Very few of the important plot points received an explanation.
The new main character's contractor power was ridiculous.
Hei losing his fight against Hazuki was completely anti-climactic and utterly disappointing.
Misaki did absolutely nothing but consistently run from point A to point B.
The merciless killing (cleaning up?) of characters from the first season (April, whyyyy?! ;_;) was so bitter.
And to top it all off there was no explanation as to why the big bad plot device we spent the whole season trying to stop was big and bad, because it just fizzled out before anything happened at all. Ridiculous.
On the bright side, the new season did give us August 7, who was probably the coolest of the new characters, my new favourite as well. It's a pity we saw so little of him, and again... no explanation was given for him miraculously coming back to life. Though I assume it has something to do with his being able to store objects in folded space. If there is a third season I hope he makes a return and doesn't die in the first episode like April did.
Overall, very disappointing.

Is this why I'm so unhappy all the time? Is it why every day feels like a horrendous struggle on an endless staircase to nowhere? Is the root cause of all my misery because I read subtitles?! GIVE ME THE ANSWER! I NEED TO KNOW! I NEED TO KNOW NOW!

I was like that once 2. Thought watching subs were nerdy. But then i broke down and seen voltron or Beast King Go Lion on dvd i had to watch cuz im a huge voltron fan. Then i got a few more animes that peaked my interest that werent in english. Now i dont have an issue with subs. In fact i find myself more glued and pay better attention cause u have to constantly read. And ever since i have watched subbed occasionally i find that I am a better and faster reader. Its embarassing how slow of a reader i used to be. I have sub-titled anime to thank. I even read the odd novel now!I havent read a book since highschool and im 26 years old.
