Maybe this movie won't be a success after all?

Please. Everybody who likes TF is gonna want to watch this movie. I live in the Cal Bay Area and when I went to the theaters to watch Spider-Man 3, a lot of the ghetto fab folks were wearing Spider-Man shirts and Venom jackets. And these are the people that always worry about image.

You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

As a teen myself, all the people I've talked to about it A) consider it a kickass-looking movie with explosions and killer robots, or B) the next 'Snakes on A Plane' in pop culture-- either way something they have to see.

I don't know about the guys, but this 31-year-old woman is not the least bit embarassed.
I am totally pumped. I don't think that is weird at all.

Thank you. You've just completely taken any weight Salazaar had for his argument and threw it out the window.

An adult woman, who's hyped for the movie? *GASP* DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE!
...and hopefully it'll shut him up.

He took a long walk off of a short pier. And the water was filled with crocodiles.

Heh. I think I got the idea. Well, I hope he gets another chance. While being irritating, I don't find him to be a monster worthy of permanent punishment.

Salazaar wrote:"Meghan Fox? Who the hell is that? Oh yeah, she's hot, but Transformers is so lame. It's not worth it."
This single statement disproves everything else you said. For the average teenage boy a hot girl is ALWAYS worth it. Furthermore, most teenagers I meet nowadays are significantly less concerned with what their peers think of them than when I was in highschool. It's an action movie with fast cars, hot girls, and giant robots... any teenage boy who doesn't like one of those things enough to see a movie about them is a disgrace to teenage boys everywhere.

Well said. I'm excited to see this movie as well. I know others in my area are as well. When I went to see Shrek 3 and PotC 3, I heard audience members humming the Transformers theme during and after the trailer (and no, I didn't look around to see who was humming).

I'm 17. I love Transformers.
But thats because I'm a huge fan anyway.
However, I've introduced it to people (a few friends of mine) and they see nothing wrong in it. They laughed at first but after that... Well, now they're buying their own.
And stealing mine.
The point is, Transformers has something for everyone - From Sci-fi; Technology; Robots; Space travel; Aliens; Conspiracies to Humour and Beauty (I personally think Megatron and Blackout are very pretty). It'll also cater to action movie fans, to people who just want to see impressive special effects. It even has a love story. Something for everyone.
The only place it'll fail is if someone walks in expecting a good story. Lets face it, this doesn't exactly have any huge twists or anything. It's just a flat out race to obtain the Allspark. No crap.

OOH OOH I can answer that! NONE!! But seriously your right I mean whats happend to cartoons now a day huh? Bakc in the 90s you could find all the cartoons in the world to watch! Almost all the cartoons back then were great! Until 2002 or 2003! Thats when it started going down hill! **** its alomst like u can't find a decent cartoon to watch these days! JLU, X-Men Evolution, Armada, Cybertron, Energon, Teen Titans, Batman Beyond and Static Shock were all either decent to Great shows but guess what they all r off!Hotrod wrote:Salazaar wrote:Hotrod wrote:Salazaar wrote:I also find it disappointing that whenever the film is plugged on a television show, it's referred to as "based on a toy." Why can' they address it's based on a successfull TV show that's lasted since the mid-80's? I hope Mr. Orci can answer this one.
Because the show has changed over the years and Cartoon Network made sure that Energon and Cybertron were not successful.
Maybe done due to large focus on the pre-production stage of the movie...
No, the same reason they managed to kill Teen Titans and JLU. They play crap and change time slots like crazy. Back in the day you could watch CN and watch good a cartoon. Now name me one good cartoon that comes on between 10am-8pm Sun.-Sat.

Salazaar wrote:Face it, teenagers (the target audience of the film, mind you) will be EMBARASSED to go to a Transformers movie. Think about it.
Teenagers seems to hate everything they liked during their childhood. And if they did, they'd be labelled "uncool" or "nerdy" or other such terms. They'd be sacrificing their status at school if they saw this movie. And not many teens would be willing to do so.
"Dude, Transformers is like totally for kids."
"Like, really. They're like saying it's gonna be all cool but it's based on like a kiddie show or something."
"Yeah, don't you remember watching that? It was so stupid"
"Dude, you wanna watch a movie about toys? Haha, whatever. Go and be like a nerd or something."
"Shia Labeouf? Isn't he that guy from that 'Even Steven's' show? Haha what an idiot."
"Meghan Fox? Who the hell is that? Oh yeah, she's hot, but Transformers is so lame. It's not worth it."
"Huh? I haven't seen any advertisements on TV for it. It must be stupid if they're afraid to shoe clips from it."
"Dude, why would we watch a movie a bunch of thirty year olds with no life are going to watch?"
Hasbro is (in theory) screwed.
nope not really i know some people that say its pretty awesome but they didnt say things like that. i dont know where you came up with that stuff, but your wrong
