And the villian leader from dinoriders too. But he also used that voice for Soundwave. In one of the episode they didnt use the effect over the voice and thats what he sounded like. Its the ep with the anti-matter formula. When ravage captures chip SW say "excellent ravage" and there's no voice effect.

Yes, they're really going all-out for the fans. Maybe they're all fans too and upper management gave them carte blanche to do what they wanted to? This is looking quite good, despite my misgivings about movie-to-game translations. This is one game I actually hope to beta test (I've never been interested before).

I'm a afraid that the actual gameplay of this game will suck though, like pretty much every game based on a movie. No amount of awesome voice acting can save it in those cases.

Dude.......AWSOME!! Frank still has it. Cant wait for this game.

They most likely didnt use Welker for the movie because they wanted some marquee names to draw in a non Transformers crowd, since Weaving's voice isnt any better suited to the new design than Welker's. And they probably couldnt pay Weaving enough to do the game. Weaving isnt a voice actor by trade--and he probably regarded it as slumming to be voicing opposite Cullen in a game--who is still seen as "just a cartoon voice over artist." Its almost a miracle Cullen was selected to do the movie given the nature of the business and marketing, but beyond the unfortunate designs, the script will probably torpedo it anyway.

The writing is on the wall when you hear things like eliminating the Ark ship because they couldnt understand why robots who transform into vehicles would need a spaceship to get to Earth--the same way one cant understand why cars need a cargo ship to cross an ocean I guess. Gotta love Hollywood logic.

while i wouldn't have used that comparison, yeah i agree with you. The ark should still be in it, because even though the transformers can turn into vehicles anyway, those large ships can serve as many things including, heavy weaponry, mobile armories, mobile command centers, and safe(r) transportation.

Add some effects to it, and that would probably be excellent as Movie Megs.

good, they're making a ps2 version, means i won't have to shell out cash for a new console just to play it

Yeah, me too, can't afford new console. I'm bloody empty. But, mostly when they make a game on multiple consoles the game usually suck. Even if the game ends bad, gotta buy it cuz it's the closest to G1. On the other hand, when I finish watching the movie, and if it's good, the excitement will be still active so I will hunger for playing the game right away
This game must be bought, no matter the cost.
