Another purchase that can be put into the disappointment/annoying/buyers remorse would be T.H.S 01 Galaxy Convoy. Hybrid Galaxy Convoy was a pretty cool scaled down figure but it was so very fragile and wasn't that sturdy, also very expensive for such a tiny figure. It just wasn't what I was expecting it to be. I still display it but it is very rarely toyed with.

ROTF Deluxe Mudflap. I'm an Undergrad, have fiddled with hundreds and hundreds of Transformers. This thing is a piece of garbage that even if my life was on the line, i still don't think I'd be capable of transforming him.

That Transformer you bought that actually made you ANGRY?

For me,recently it would be DOTM Ultimate optimus prime. the mech tech over sized weapon is the worst part of the entire toy. it's too heavy & big to clip on to the back clip. it's too heavy & big to fit in the 2 hands without blocking the head,chest & everything else. I kinda want to see the whole front of the robot mode on a display shelf. not have the over sized gun block the whole upper half of the robot mode.

the trailer suit of armor was the 2nd most dissapointing thing about the toy. it's the nightmare of armada leader sized optimus's brick pants all over again.

the transformation from suit of armor to trailer was more frustrating & had to manuever tons of kibbly parts to get a reqtangular trailer.

about the only redeeming part of this toy is the ultra sized truck cab/bot optimus prime toy. it is honestly a really good toy. I'd rate it better than the 2007 movie voyager optimus toy & better than the HFTD movie voyager optimus toy.

A close second for a TF toy that made me angry: Is DOTM Voyager sized Shockwave. personally the toy is total garbage in both modes. the transformation is too involved with playing with all the kibbly bits.
the alt mode is just horrible the tank turrent isnt is too much on one side & not alligned in the middle properly.

out of the 3 NOT-Shockwaves radical updated homages new molds from energon,animated & DOTM,IMHO,The Dotm version is the worst.

I don't think I've ever really been angry with a toy, especially when it comes to transforming them. However, I have been heavily disappointed with one: Generations Scourge. The toy looks great in either mode, but design-wise it can't stand at all. Unless it's leaning forward somewhat or leaning against something, that sucker will fall on his tush in robot-mode. The chipped paint on the head after just one transformation and the completely odd look of his gun (to the point it looks more like something kinky from Sweden?) compounded it, but what really sealed the deal to kill him? His joints. The legs just gave out fast. The gun wouldn't stay up. After awhile I just pondered giving him to my niece, or tossing him.

I figured she'd be fine with Red Alert and gave him the boot.

(As an aside, don't get me started about Universe Galvatron either. I should've done my homework)

TM2 Cybershark looked so good in the box to me, but the bot mode on mine had the panels falling off if I breathed on it. Argh!

I find the solution quite easy. It is now standing up. PLEASE HAVE A MATURE MIND WHEN LOOKING AT PICTURE RELATED. (in before dick-n-ballz joke)

I accept that the apex armor is not made to be a ninja. It's morelike a deep-space combat suit. I also added weponz in his hands. Still, that toy made me a little angry... at myself. To have the thing 6 or 8 months in advance, (I'm Canadian) I paid at least 50$ more than the price the thing could have been on boxing day at Walmart. Oh well...

Transformers Univers/Animated legends Prowl. It's loose joints caused a wheel to snap off forever.

Fansproject Thundershred, it made me so angry I ripped it apart with my bare hands!

I literally broke it in pieces and his remains are now in my box-o-parts. Maybe I'll use the pieces to construct some kitbash(es) later down the road. Aside from that, the 25th anniversary Hasbro Optimus Prime made me so angry because of the orange color (not red) and shortened "safe" smokestacks that I threw it against the wall, breaking it handily and then immediately ordered the Takara reissue, which is just like the original G1 toy I remember and is obviously the one that I display (orange Prime's bits still litter the back of my closet).

I had a similar experience with the reissue MP Prime (also Hasbro) due to its orange nature (again replaced by the Takara version, this time with the trailer included). I took its head off the ball joint, scored/melted it some with a lighter and swapped the head with the head of the MP Takara Prime to make a Beast Wars "Megatron just blew off the head of Optimus Prime, thus changing history" Optimus Prime, posed sitting with BW TM Megatron standing in front of him raising his arms in triumph !

Wow, I've noticed that some people are getting furious over QC issues or their own inability to transform something correctly. I won't deny that there have been times when a transformer have irritated me, but after taking a deep breath and studying the joints, locks and parts of a problem toy, I can say that my demeanor has always improved. Even the most idiotic design aspect or QC flaw only gets a sigh from me now.

I've had figures frustrate the living hell out of me to the point where I transformed them maybe twice before selling them, but I don't think I've really hit anything that could be called anger. At least, not in any way that leaves a fun story >_>

Totally agree, but I noticed mine has the transparent plastic.

and rotf scalpel opened the package and his legs fell out of the clamshell looked to find every single ball socket cracked instantly threw it in the trash.

perhaps, but the head melt/swap was actually something I had been wanting to do anyway (it simulates the end of Beast Wars Season 2, one of my fav scenes in the entire series) and having the orange Prime's head laying around just gave me the parts I needed to do it without having to ruin the head of my much nicer Takara MP Prime.

I hates me some orange Prime's, here's hoping that Hasbro never makes that mistake again (if they really want to differentiate between the originals and reissues they could simply change the dates on the mold instead of the color of the plastic).

Funny how again and again and again I see this figure getting the bum wrap. I can transform him to perfection, and even fold away most of his kibble, keep the spring loaded chest open, and his head attatched. I honestly think YOU got a defective mudflap, Because Iv'e personally Transformed him more than 20 times and not once have I had any issues, what so ever!

TF Movie Deluxe Jazz. Terrible, inaccurate blob of grey fiddly plastic that isn't really frustrating to transform, but it just looks hideous. HA Jazz, How I want you so...

I haven't really gotten extremly mad at a TF before, like... not yelling-at-it-with-my-shirt-off mad, but there have been some major dissapointments.

Both Titanium figures I got just really made me feel like the biggest spendthrift, having spent around 60 bucks for both Megatron and The fallen. But then I open em up and try to pose em, and felt that increasing feeling of buyer's remorse in me boil to the extent that I started looking online for replacements of each character while the packaging still littered my desk. Thankfully I got WFC Megatron now, but the Fallen, as crappy as a figure he is (especially in vehicle mode), I still love the look of his bot mode, and he remains my version of The Fallen in my collection.

Movie Nightbeat bummed me out when I found out he had no head articulation.
Universe Galvatron actually doesn't bother me too much, other than just being kinda meh, I still like the way he looks and poses, and his vehicle mode is cool.
The KO Diecast Decepticon Hubcap suuuuucks doesn't hold together in vehicle mode, and just overall pretty crappy in quality. But it is a KO, so I guess its no surprise.

EDIT: I forgot to add that henkei silverstreak annoyed the crap outa me since the doors would always pop off, and the fact that the paint around the edges would wear off as well... I sold it not too long after getting it.

Aw, come on, he's one of the best TF ever! I have no trouble at all fitting his panels together. The hint is you have to alling the tabs on the limbs inside the thing. Just snap the panels on these. Then, the panels will fit together just fine. Check out some Youtube reviews just in case. I know I had a simil;ar frustrating moment with HftD Leader Optimus Prime, but when I finally figure it out, with 4chan tellingf me to turn the hands the right way, I was finally be able to put it into vehicle mode with all of his panels fitting.

Yeah, the manuals suck and are often outdated right out of the box...

I give Hasbro props for making the tabs so tough and able to handle the roughness, Never feel like they're going to snap.

TF-Con Nightbird, it fell apart as I transformed it, so when I got it into robot mode I glued it together, so now it will not transform, but looks ok in robot mode!

ROTF Leader-class Jetfire. What a piece of expensive ****.

The robot mode is decent at best. The transformation to jet mode is panel matching, where you slide two together and five more pop apart. After a frustrating transformation you're left with an SR-71 Blackbird... with the robot body hanging off the bottom like a damned Aerielbot!!!!

No, I stand corrected. The Aerielbots at least have the decency to be 1. G1 toys and 2. inexpensive compared to Jetfire.

His combined mode with Prime, when done correctly, leaves his legs immobile. And I don't like mistransforming robots in order for them to work properly. So, all in all, I hate the damned thing. It. SUCKS.

For a long time, I was angry at Cybertron Leader Optimus Prime. I overreacted quite a bit because I just couldn't get the wings to attach to the backpack. I'm way past over it now, but at the time, it was just SOOOOO aggravating!
